LOCAL PLANS ARE UPSET Owing to an attack of pneumonia Hugh Chalmers of Detroit, will be. unable to address the Richmond business men at a noon day luncheon, which will be held under the auspices of the Young Men's Business club in the near future. A letter stating that on Mr. Chalmers return to Detroit he was taken ill with pneumonia, was received from his secretary yesterday and, although the club has not given up hopes of securing Mr. Chalmers to address the business men upon his recovery, it is probable that other arrangements will have to be made for the luncheon, which the club anticipated giving either March 23 or 24. HUNT FOR HIS RELATIVES Superintendent of Police Gormon received a letter this morning from D. H. Clark, secretary of the Wellsville lodge of Eagles, at Wellsville, O., concerning the death of William Gilkerson, who died at the Reid Memorial hospital, earlier in the week, as the result of a fall on North Twelfth street. According to the letter, the man's real name, which was thought to be William Winn, because of a receipt for dues in the Wellsville lodge of Eagles, found on his person after bis death, is William Gilkison. Mr. Clark is unable to explain how the dead man obtained possession of Mr. Winn's receipt. The letter staged that Gilkison's father, who was a private detective, had been murdered by a man by the name of Fitzsimmons at Pittsburg, about 25 years ago and that perhaps by consulting with the Pittsburg authorities the man's relatives, if be has any, could be located. The body of Gilkison is still being hed at the chapel of Doan and Klute. It is said that the man has two sisters living at Pittsburg and an effort will be made to communicate with them through the police of that city. City Statistics Deaths and Funerals. BAILEY Daniel Bailey, aged 73 years, died this morning at his home, 420 Linden avenue, after a long illness. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the West Third street M. E. church. Friends may call any time. WATKINS -The funeral of James Watkins will take place Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the South Sixth Street A. M. E. church. Garret has not been arrest ed. Both are old soldiers and well known over the county. The trouble between them is alleged to have been due to the visits which Price's chickens paid Garrett's property.
