Richmond Lodge Gossip of Interest

The initiatory degree was conferred on Arthur B. Oler and Samuel Leagan by the Whitewater lodge of Odd Fellows at the I. O. O. F. hall last evening.

An invitation has been extended to members of the local, camp of the Sons of Veterans, to attend the annual inspection of the division headquarters and muster to take place next week at Winchester, Ind. It is probable that several of the members will accept the invitation.

Lawrence Handley has been appointed a member of the state committee of the Sons of Veterans to inspect the Soldiers and Sailors Orphans Home at Knightstown, Ind., sometime in May. The inspection is an annual event and the appointment will be accepted by Mr. Handley.

The Order of Masons will have their chapter and council inspection next week. The chapter inspection will be held on Tuesday evening and the council inspection on Wednesday.

Members pf the Wayne Aerie of Eagles No. 666 are devoting their most earnest efforts towards making arrangements for the state convention of Eagles, which is to be held in Richmond in June. The affair promises to be a great success and will be largely attended by Eagles from all parts of the state. On Wednesday evening, March 9th, the Eagles will hold a meeting for the purpose of voting

on the three new candidates who will be initiated into the order on Wednesday, March 16.

The exhibition drill, to be given under the auspices of the uniform rank team of Triumph lodge, Knights of Pythias, at the Coliseum, Thursday evening, April 14, by the famous drill team of the Oregon lodge. Knights of Pythias, of Dayton, Ohio, promises to be one of the most important fraternal affairs of the season. The purpose of the exhibition is to interest the publican fraternalism. The visiting team has about seventy-five members, divided into four squads. The leading squad is costumed In white silk plush uniforms. The colors of the costumes of the three other squads are red, yellow and blue, which colors are those of Pythianism. The costumes and paraphernalia of the team are the best that money can buy. The entertainment lasts for nearly two hours and is interesting both to the followers of Damon and Pythias and the general public. Following the team's work, the coliseum floor will be cleared and the evening will be spent socially. Renk's orchestra has been engaged for the dance.

John Burkhardt and O. E. Dickinson

were given the first rank work by the drill team of Triumph lodge. Knights of Pythias, last evening. The lodge has several applications for member

ship before it.

At the meeting of Uniform Rank

lodge and Coeur de Lion lodge. Knights

of Pythias, Monday and Tuesday, re

spectively, routine matters will be con

sidered.

Henry F. Kampe TEACHER OF MUSIC PIANO, VIOLIN, HARP Office over Conkey Drug Co 9th and Main.

It is customary for the club to hold its annual dances following Easter. Tickets have already been placed on sale.

At the meeting of Hokendauqua Tribe, Red Men, last evening. Fred Berg and Harry Hufford -were initiated with fhe adoption degree. The lodge has had a splendid season and nopes before it is over to have surpassed all previous records In theacquisition of members.
