Creamery butter, per lb 30c Eggs 22c Country butter, per lb 25c SUIT FOR DAMAGES Suit for $1,300 damages was brought by Mrs. Hannah Pickett against William Clendenin, in the circuit court today. The plaintiff claims that she has been damaged in this sum for suffering the nuisance of a fertilizing factory operated by Clendenin, which lies within a short radius of the Pickett farm, north of the city. The husband of the plaintiff in the above suit was recently given $150 damages by the court. That suit also resulted in the court issuing an injunction against the defendant from operating the fertilizing plant in such a manner that it would cause a smell. City Statistics Deaths and Funerals. BESSLEMAX The funeral of Louis Bessleman, will take place Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home of the deceased's sister, Mrs. Frank Haner, 135 South Fourth street. The Revs. Huber and Howard will officiate. The burial will be in Lutherania. Friends may call this afternoon and evening. COLE MAX Martha Coleman, age 20, died last evening at her home, S04 Xorth Fourteenth street. The funeral will be Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Baptist church, Xorth F street. Burial will be in Earlham cemetery. SHE HAS PNEUMONIA. Mrs. M. T. Patterson is confined at her home, 115 Xorth Twelfth street, with an atack of pneumonia. She was taken ill Saturday.

(American Xews Service) Indianapolis, Feb. 10. Six to eight inches of snow covers central and northern Indiana. The heavy quality of the snow and the absence of wind prevented serious delays in transportation. UNUSUAL PHENOMENA. Shawnee, Okla., Feb. !;. The unusual phenomena, thunder and lightning accompanied by a heavy blizzard, snow and sleet falling simultaneously was seen here today. The heavy snow delayed traffic. The temperature foil to 1 above zera. A slight earthquake shock was felt at 10 o'clock. A blindi ing snow blizzard extends all over I eastern Oklahoma and is traveling eastward. A FIERCE BLIZZARD Struck the City This Morning With Heavy Snow. One of the worst blizzards of the winter struck this city this morning at i:50 o'clock when the rain suddenly turned to snow. It continued to snow all day, and this afternoon at 3 o'clock, approximately five inches had fallen. Trains on both the Pennsylvania and C. C. & L. railroads were delayed somewhat, but were not off schedule sufficiently to cause serious delays. The Terre Haute, Indianapolis & Eastern traction company suffered a broken trolley west of Cambridge which combined with the snow prevented cars from Indianapolis from arriving in this city until about 3 o'clock this afternoon. The Magellanic Clouds. The Magellanic clouds are two cloudy masses f light, oval in shape and unequal in size, seen at night in the heavens in the vicinity of the south pole. They are supposed to be nebulae, or dense aggregations of stars, so far distant as to give to the unassisted eye the impression of clcudlike masses. They cover areas of 42 and 10 square degrees respectively and are so named, in honor of Ferdinand Magellan, the great Portuguese navigator, who first observed theai la 1520 daring his voyage around the globe. 2iew York American,

TWO STARTLING SUICIDES (American News Service) Springfield, 111., Feb. 16. The supreme court, today, affirmed the decision of the lower court, thus breaking the will of the late eccentric mil lionaire, Col. Thomas Snell of Clinton, 111., and his big estate wili be 1ivided among the heirs according to law. The final outcome of the celebrated and sensational case Is a victory for the son, Richard Snell, whom the old colonel cut off with a nominal sum. MISS ELKINS SUICIDES. Kansas City. Feb. 16. Miss Atmes Elkins, aged 2S, a niece of Senator Elkins of WeK Virginia, attempted suicide this morning after writing letters all night. She was despondent and shot herself over tho heart. Vidal Davis, a brother-in-law of President Finley, of the Southern railway, and a relative of former President Jeff Davis, of the Confederacy, committed suicide by firing a load of buckshot into his chest.
