Next tegular meeting of the post Saturday February I'f.th. The Euchre set is inconsolable. Oue of their number has deserted them, and it looks as if it might be for some time. James Martin quietly stole a march on the T. P. A. boys and all the balance of his friends, and was married last Thursday afternoon to Miss Lillian Stout of this city. kv. Wade performed the ceremony and the brid? and groom departed at once for Indianapolis. From Indianapolis the newly wedded pair will go to Fowler, where Mr. Martin has a daughter living. Mr. and Mrs. Martin, after a short visit in Fowler, will return to Richmond to make their future home. The newly wedded groom is one of the most popular members of Post C. T. P. A., and the wedding was a complete surprise to most all of the members. -Mrs. Martin is an estimable lady and enjoys a large acquaintance among Post C members. The T. P. A.'s extend to the bride and groom their very best wishes. The two committees appointed to nominate officers and delegates should consider well their duty and act intelligently. They should not rush headlong into this matter and select at random a list of names to be voted on in March. Especially true Is this in the selection of names or men to act as delegates to the national convention. Men should hf sent to the coming convention who are thoroughly acquainted with the workings of the T. P. A., and especially of the workings within the last year or two. We must have delegates intelligent, forceful and with the proper amount of fight in them to help bring about a change that will sooner or later come. Iet us bear in mind that this is no common convention, but one of unusual importance and effecting the great interests of our national organization When we look over tha list of nominees, select and vote for men that will serve the post well and represent us as we should be represented. Charlie Morgan and Ihe balance of the "Eucht" set" had been secretly planning for the last two months the wonderful time they would have when "Our Jim" got married. Kramer had spent long hours in careful arranging every detail for the crowd that would help jim with the marriage festivities. Uncle Eilly had bought a new tie, Ed Thatcher had arranged to have his trousers pressed and Charlie was having a dress suit rearranged to fit the occasion. Hut alas! Mr. Chas. M. Zink was placed in nomination for division president T. P. A. of A. Mr. Zink is eminently qualified for the position and needs no introduction to the rank and file of the T. P. a. in the state as he has attended nearly every convention in the last four or five years not only the state conventions, but national conventions as well. Mr. Zink is an enthusiast on T. P. A. bnsiess and a hard worker for the advancement of the assclation and will no doubt make an efficient and worthy officer. Mr. Zink is president of Post Q and no better ever occupied that chair. We predict he will have but little opHsition and no doubt le elected unanimously. Post Q is very proud of its president and the 7.V or yi members will to a man Imhuh him from this date for state president. The slogan. Our state president stands well with the T. P. A. of the state, and is in right, has always frowned down anything that had the earmarks of tricky liolitios. We cannot account how we could get things so bal'ed ; as we have been on a vegetable and water diet for the past ten days, still that may be the reason, for when a man's blood is chilly his pen may make 7.ig zags. Ther have already leased new rooms in the Claypool building, corner Illinois and Washington streets and will be better located to serve the members of their lost. Post 15 now has a membership of 8"-n. but should be Increased to 1,00 within a year.
