Receipts of hogs were about 1,000 larger than the daily average this week, but at that comparatively small and with a good increase in the demand from out side sources, especially for light hogs, the market from the start was active and sales were unevenly higher, the average 10 cents above yesterday. There was a good clearance and the last sales were steady at opening prices. There were
few strictly top kinds, but $3.80 was paid and the bulk of the hogs sold for SSJS0 and JS.70.

Does Much Good.
