HER BURNS SEVERE While ironing at the home of Frank Newcomer, 30 Richmond avenue, this morning about 11 o'clock, the gasoline iron which Mary Epping was using exploded, severely burning her about the hands, arms and face. He hair was also badly singed. Medical assistance was called and the girl was given relief from her sufferings. The blazo spread and owing to the fact that the fire was confined between the roof and the ceiling it was with difficulty that it could be reached by the firemen. An alarm was sent in and the departments quickly responded, the blaze being extinguished before any serious damage was done. MINISTER TO CHINA. (American News Service) Washington, Nov. 5. Oscar T. MOBS SURROUNDED JAIL (American News Service) Cassaway, W. Va... Nov. 5. Following a night of terror In which mobs surrounded the jail shouting threats of lynching, Scott Lewis and Andy Johnson negroes, were removed today to Sutton. The prisoners are accused of being accomplices of Charles LewIs, who attacked Mrs. Albert Rockhold after' binding and gagging her husband. The removal was accomplished through a clever ruse of Governor Glasscock who assumed control of the situation and assured the mob that the prisoners would be given a hearing in Gassaway at ten o'clock, this morning. When that hour came the prisoners had been secreted away to Sutton, where a strong jail and soldiers will prevent the lynching. Phosbe: There's nothing like bread mad from Gold Medal Flour. Dbboba
