ntioumatism Romody Froo.
My Remedy has actually cured men and women seventy and eighty years of age some were so decrepit that they could not even dress themselves. To introduce this great remedy I intend to give fifty thousand 50 cent boxes away, and every suffering reader of this paper is courteously invited to write for one. No money is asked for this 50 cent box neither now nor later, and if afterwards more is wanted, I will furnish it to sufferers at a low cost. I found this remedy by a fortunate chance while an invalid from rheumatism and since it cured me, it has been a blessing to thousands of other persons. Don't be sceptical, remember the first 50 cent box is absolutely free. This Is an internal remedy which goes after the cause of the trouble, and when the cause of rheumatism is removed, have no fear of deformities. Rheumatism In time wm affect the heart, so do not trifle with this merciless affliction. AddreBS enclosing this adv., JOHN A. SMITH, 5376 Smith BIdg., Milwaukee, wis.

Some fresh determinations of the amount of radium present in sea water have been made with specimens taken from the Atlantic at various places. All possible precautions were taken to eliminate error, and the mean result for the six samples was 9x1010th grams a gram of sea water. This is only about one-seventeenth of the value (1.6x1014th) obtained by Joly, but agrees fairly well with the value 6xl0-16th previously obtained by A. Si Eve. It is also shown that, when testing for the quantity of radium emanation present in a given solution, about equal accuracy is obtained by collecting the emanation over water or over mercury.

(Palladium Special) Indianapolis, Oct. 14. J. Frank Hanly will never again run for office. This can be stated as a fact on the
authority of the man who is probably ' closer to Hanly than any other man j in Indiana.' This man says that if the j
republicans or any other party in the state are worrying about Hanly's intentions for the future they may rest easily, for he will never again be a candidate for any position. This statement was called forth from the friend of Hanly by an inquiry yesterday as to the many rumors which have been in circulation to the effect that Hanly might run for governor, and that he would probably be a candidate for United States senator against Senator Beveridge. Such stories have been going around for months, but it is believed that they have originated principally in the minds of some over-zealous admirers of Hanly or in the minds of some of the industrious political newspaper writers of the state. Never Taken Seriously. There has never been a time when the stories have been given any credence or taken seriously by the politicians and the leaders in the state who know what is going on, but no amount of denial by any of them has been able to keep down the reports. They have
J bobbed up regularly, connecting Han-
ly s name with the various positions.
Hanly is practicing law and delivering lectures throughout the country. He Is said to be making money hand over fist, and everybody knows that Hanly is a man who finds unusual pleasure in prosperity. It is pointed out, too that he ha3 left behind him a record as governor that is not equaled
by many Indiana governors. During his administration he obtained new laws that revolutionized some things in this state and if he had been possessed of a congenial nature he would undoubtedly have accomplished much more. He put the saloon business on the toboggan In Indiana, and this was his on great aim. It was his one great fight, and he won. The politicians point to this fact to prove that Hanly will not again be a candidate for office. They say he has accomplished what he wanted to accomplish and that he will rest satisfied. But If
any party or any one else undertakes ,
to upset the work he accomplished there can be no question but that be will again be in the political arena, making a fight of the kind that Hanly can make, but not as a candidate. The man who made the statement yesterday that Hanly will not be a candidate again for any office is very
close to him. He knows Hanly's in-; tentlons probably as well or better
than any other man in the state, and he makes the statement as a fact. He says he knows it to be true. This ought to set at rest the stories about Hanly's intentions.
