IT WILL TAKE TWENTY-FOUR HOURS TO EXPAND THE BIG BAG TO ITS CAPACITY WILL ATTRACT CROWDS. j With the arrival of the dirigible balloon and other necessary apparatus today from Indianapolis, the erection of the tent In which the balloon will be housed, when not in operation, and the placing of the fence for the purpose of keeping the crowds out of the lot at South Eighth and H streets, during exhibitions, George L. Bumbaugh, the noted Indianapolis aviator has practically completed his plans for the daily morning and afternoon flights to be made during the Fall Festival, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week.

Much Interest will no doubt be taken in the filling of the mammoth cigarshaped gas bag with hydrogen gafl, which will probably be started cither today or tomorrow by Mr. Bumbaugh and his assistants. The operation of ' filling the bag will require from twen- ' ty-four to twenty-six hours and 12,000 cubic feet of the gas is required. Soon Will Be Ready. By Tuesday night ,or perhaps sooncr, the balloon will be ready for the ! morning flight Wednesday. In disi cussing the atmospheric conditions, J Mr. Bumbaugh said that he could make I the trips, rain or shine. However, the 'most successful flights are made In 'fair weather, when the wind is quiet The morning flights will probably be made between 10:30 and 11 o'clock as the wind is quieter at that time and more favorable for a successful flight. 1 The afternoon flights will be made between 4 and 5 o'clock. The wind is, 1 as a rule, calm at this time of the day and consequently the most successful flights are made then. ' Weather permitting, Mr. Bumbaugh will try on one of the days to break the record. The present record is a mile in six and a half minutes.
