Henry Nungessor, the biggest little man Patrolman McManus ever tried to handle, and probably the strongest man of his size in the city, tore up things in the south end last evening. He was finally arrested by McManus and this afternoon was fined $1 and costs for drunk. Nungessor h?.s a western-horse that if about the limit. He undertook to drive it last evening, while under the influence of liquor. The horse objected and threw him out After its capture the man made a wild ride about the south part of the city. He dashed back and. forth up South Twelfth street like a wild man driving in a race of fiends. He engaged in several encounters with his horse and was severely bitten. He was flnallv over taken by Patrolman McManus after he had returned to the barn. He obiected to being arrested and it was not until after a long wrestling match that ne consented to become a captive. His driving and fight with the nniic. man were witnessed by a large crowd. A universal search was ordered today for Martin Laskowscl, who was to have been hanged next month for the murder of his sweetheart who claims to be a member of the Austrian nobility and who escaped once before from the Mauch Chunk jail, fleeing to Butte. Mont, where he married, but was betrayed by his wife. He was formerly head of the central railroad of N. J. detective department and broke the big Lansford coal strike in 1904.
