Mistake Hi Warrant Results in
ttrs. Bradley Wot Being Prosecuted.
GIVEN HER MAIDEN NAME
Mrs. Everett Bradley escaped prose
cution on the charge of petit larceny yesterday, because of an error in the warrant on which she was arrested.
The warrant was made out against
the woman as Cora Taylor, ber maiden name. The affidavit was prepar
ed In the same manner, but In reading
t the prosecutor noticed bis mistake
and secured permission to amend the
affidavit. Attention to the error was
called by Wilfred Jessnp. counsel for the defendant. The court sustained his permission to suppress the war
rant. The court was of the opinion that if the prosecutor had noticed his error in the affidavit and corrected it, it was bis fault that the warrant had
been made out improperly, as he knew the proper name to use.
