Tibbets' Glucosy Letters are Made Public by M
New York, June 5. Wnfle Oliver A. Tibbets. a rich sporting man of Chicago, Is at the Hotel Astor with bis bride, who before her last marriage was Susie Lee, once a well known emotional actress, fuming because a bond of $1,000 holds him here when he would like to continue his honeymoon. Miss Katberine A. Carney, the pretty little woman who followed him here from the West and caused his arrest on a warrant alleging a breach of promise and other things, is cozily located at the Grand Union, a few blocks away, consulting with her New York lawyer.' . By the terms of a contract ; which. Miss . Carney says, Mr. Tibbets violated, she was to surrender a bundle of letters signed "Tibbie" to their author and he was to pay her $3,000. But. according to her account, the note for $ 3.O0O which he gave her has never been paid and she, having cannily saved back a few of the more glucosy of the aforementioned missives, is now, since her suit has been started, turning them loose one by one. Here Is the newest to be liberated, it having been handed out to the reporters by Miss Carney with her own hand this afternoon: , "Kittle, My Own Sweet Dove: What in the world is the matter with you?
What has become of my love? Over a week now and no letter. Now, dearie, please don't keep me In suspense any longer or 111 come right home and take you out with me on my trips hereafter. I want to see you so bad
rthat I can hardly wait for the time to
come. You had better be good to me my petit has rained like sixty all day, and I wish. I had you here to love and caress. Sweet one. I think of you night and morning. You know what that means, don't you pet? Now, sweet one. don't make me think you have found some one you like better. I wish I had remained and stayed with you In our little home. ' Love and sweetest kisses. -YOUR OWN TIBBIE." It was some time after this, according to Miss Carney, when Tibbets fell in love with his present wife, wh had been first the wife of Edward B. Daly and divorced from him, and then the wife of IL Lee and divorced him, and
while bearing the. name of Susie Lee had won some reputation acting those weepy Clara Morris parts in theaters out West. Tomorrow Justice Guy of the Supreme court will hear a motion to increase Mr. Tibbets bond from f 1.000 to $10,000. ,
