CONTRACT IS FORWARDED The contract . for the construction of the new high school building has been signed by. the members of the school board and forwarded to English Brothers of Champaign, 111., which firm made a bid of $124,000 to construct the building. The board has investigated ' the record of th contractors and finds that it is a very reputable firm. The board will require the contractors to give $40,000 bond. It is not probable the board will know whether the firm will sign the contract until the middle of next week. LODGE ACCEPTS THE IHV1TATI0II Odd Fellows to Go to Dublin, Indiana. At the meeting of the Whitewater lodge of Odd Fellows last evening, the invitation of the Dublin order was accepted. As the date was left optional with the local lodge. It was fixed at May S. It is probable that a large delegation will accompany the team to Dublin to confer the degree work on a large class. What He Lacked.
