High winds blew down a wall of the opera house here, which crashed into a residence, killing Miss Mildred Felten, aged sixteen, and seriously injuring Grace Swift, also aged sixteen. AGED WOMAN DEAD Mrs. Louisa M. Curkhardt, Aged 80 Years, Died After Short Illness. DEATH CAME LAST NIGHT Mrs. Louisa M. Burkhardt, aged 80, a well known German woman, died at the residence of her daughter, Mr John Fox, Seventeenth and South E streets, last evening, after a short illness, t She has been a resident of this country since 18SO, emigrating here from Germany. She is survived by five sons: John, Christian, Daniel, Jacob and Frederick, all of whom are well known In the business circles of the city, being engaged in contract work. Three daughters, Mrs. John Fox. with whom she lived, Mrs. Martin Bulach and Miss Louise Burkhardt also survive. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, from the residence of Mrs. Fox, and will be private. Rev. Conrad Huber, of St. Paul's Lutheran church, of which she has been a member, since becoming a resident of the city, will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran ia cemetery. Friends may call any time. BREAKS HER ARM. Miss Thelma Schillinger. the little daughter of Mayor and Mrs. R. A. Schillinger, broke her right arm just about the wrist last evening. She was standing on the curbing in front of her parents residence. South Eighth street, and fell off, causing the injury. The injury is a rather severe one and an X-ray examination will be made this evening. PAID THE COSTS. The suit on claim brought by Frank Morris vs the estate of Alice Piatt has been dismissed in circuit court upon the motion of plaintiff's counsel. Morris not only had the case dismissed but paid the costs. The claim was for only $18. Tee Great a Reward.
