Chicago, 111-, March 6. Three bandits today were held guilty by. a jury in Judge Kerstents court, and sentenced to prison for life plus fourteen years. This oaf verdict resulted from conTktion on two charges. The bandits were found
guilty of robbery .with a'deadly weapon,
which caries a sentence for- life and also of robbery under the habitual criminsls act which prescribes fourteen years imprisonment. . , - . - Judge Kersten declared it the oddest verdict he ever heard of tn all his years of experience of .criminal court work. . : Mexico City, Mex., March 6. News has. reached here that , twenty : long time prisoners in the fortress of San Diego at Acapulco made their escape Wednesday night by digging out under the walls and letting themselves down into the water and swimming to safety. Most of the convicts were murderers and bandits and many were in for life terms. The guards did not discover the escape until daybreak. None of the convicts has been - retaken. '
