ONE IS AN ENGLISH WOMAN BOTH ARE INTENT ON TAKING CHARGE OF THE BODY WHEN THE END COMES CASE IS PECULIAR ONE.
Philadelphia, Pa., Feb. 13. John .William Boeyse, a Chestnut street photographer, is dying in the Pennsylvania hospital, while two women each claiming to be hia lawful wife, stand close by keeping a death watch. The two women, one English and the other an American, have remained
constantly at Boeyse's bedside since
; his admission to ,the hospital last
Tuesday, suffering from a stroke of
apoplexy. Neither had seen the other before and both are intent on taking charge of the body for burial. Both women arrived at the hospital within an hour after Boeyse had been brought in by an ambulance. The Women' Story. ... This is the story the hospital authorities have learned from the two - women: Thirty years ago Boeyse married11 the English girl in London. She was a trained nurse and he met lier at a hospital. She ownes considerable property and they had a home in Jxmdan. After eight years of married life Boeyse came to America. He left his wife and four children behind. He came to Philadelphia and opened a photographer's studio. Then the second woman came into his life and it is alleged he married her here. Five, children were born from the union. Two years after he had taken his second wife, wife number one ; heard of her husband's infidelity and obtained a divorce. He Went to London. Four years later Boeyse left his Philadelphia home and went to London. He obtained a reconciliation with his first wife and they were remarried, he remained only a few months and then returned to Philadelphia. Last July when wife No. 1 threatened to begin action in court, wife No. 2, it is said, left her husband and went to Wilmington to' reside, taking her children with her. When the second wife heard of Boeyse's serious illness she hurried to Philadelphia where she found e English wife with whom Boeyse 1 been living- Both -women claim to be able to show marriage licenses, one for a wedding to Boeyse in London and the other a license of marriage to the man here in Philadelphia.

A FOUR MONTHS' HEARING
New York, Feb. 13 United States Commissioner Samuel H. Hitchcock, who is hearing the testimony in the extradition proceedings instituted by the Russian government to have Jan Poufen, the Russian refugee, deported, today granted the application of Coudert Brothers, who are appearing for Russia, and allowed them until April 1 to produce their rebutting evidence. The trial of the revolutionist has been going on for more than four months and the counsel for the prisoner, Herbert Parsons, Isaac Hourwich and Simon Pollock, completed their case about a month ago. Frederick F. Coudert and John P. Murray were not ready to go on at the time. They asked for an extension of sixty days to allow them to get witnesses and documents from Russia to offset the testimony offered on Pouren's be
