A strange animal in the vicinity of Milton,, i arousing the curiosity, as. well, as no i'ttle alarm among farmers and hunters. A few evenings ago the animal attacked a bulldog of Mr. Fritx. about three miles south of town, and was so vicious that the dog escaped to the barnfl, where he, remaine dtrembling, and could not be induced to come out. Tuesday evening. Harry Murley and Earl Doddridge, of Milton, were out with their dogs in the same vicinity. The dogs- were ahead, and suddenly set up a terrific howl and were heard to be fighting furiously. The young men hurried to the Scene, but the light of the lantern caused the animal to flee.
