The Lion county grand jury this morning returned . an indictment against the Standard Oil company of Indiana charging a violation of the state law regarding discrimination. IEW YORK BANKER DIED IN SING SING Serving Sentence for Looting Federal Bank. Ossinning, N. Y., Nov. 18. David Rothschild, former New York banker, convicted five years ago of looting a federal bank of a quarter of a million dollars, d:ed in 'the hospital at Sing Sing today of consumption. He had two more years to serve. CLAIMED SEVERAL ARTICLESWERE STOLEN Pad Palmer Placed Under Arrest. Upon the claim of P. J. O'Connell that he had bet u robbed by Paul Palmer, the latter has been placad under arrest. He is charged with larceny. Belmont in this city yesterday afternoon, it is alleged. Belmont, it is said, put up a pitiable plea to the authorities and was given charity tickets to take himself and wife to Cincinnati. After securing the tickets he went upon the streets and endeavored to sell them. KELLER TRIAL IS AGAINPOSTPONED Alleged Murderer to Be Arraigned Dec. 8th. The Keller case has been set for trial once more. This time the date is December 8. It has not been determined whether Keller will stand trial on his plea of. not guilty or accept a finding of guilty without a trial, but upon t!ie statement of facts by the prosecuting attorney. BRAKEMAN KILLED; DETECTIVE BEATEN Worsted in Battle With Gang Of Toughs, South Bend, Ind., Nov. 18.-D. I Dryberger, thirty-five, a Lake Shore brakeman, was fatally shot and Detective Golay badly beaten by a gang of nine suspicious characters they encountered in the railroad yards late last night. TRIAL EXPECTED TO CONTINUE A WEEK Martin-Chitwood Case Comes From Rush County. It is expected tha the case of Martin vs. Chitwood, which has been set for trial in the Wayne circuit court, will require at least one week. The case was venued here from Rush county. Attorneys from Rush. Fayette and Wayne counties have been retained, and it is probable that the contest may develop some sensational features. The construction of a will is to be determined by the trial. BEECHER "PINCHED." IK Carl Hendrick and Thomas Bowman truckmen, were killed and two others seriously hurt, when the work train on top of which they were riding, collided with the Thirty-third street bridge.
