"Under Western Skies," will be put on this evening at the Gennett by the Partello Stock company, which is showing at that popular playhouse all this week. "Under Western Skies" is a splendid drama of western, life, but, unlike most dramas of its kind, it is not a blood and thunder melodrama. In fact there is not a shot fired in the play. However, it is intensely interesting and thrilling from start to close. The company played to splendid houses yesterday afternoon and evening. It is one of the best stock companies ever appearing in this city. AND CHOPS ' r IS THERE A STRANGE FATAL DISEASE? Children Die Suddenly of Malady. Local physicians assert they do not know of any disease that is prevalent among children in this city, which has suddenly fatal results. The case of little Dorothy Elleman. whose sudden death was reported yesterday, is said by physicians to have been due to an exceptional cause. Members of a Pennsylvania railroad passenger train crew are telling of a similar case. A woman and little boy were on a train enroute from Cincinnati. The child became ill when the train was near Camden. Ohio, and the mother notified the conductor her boy was ill and she would want to leave the train at the next stop. Arriving at Eaton, the conductor and brakeman went to the assistance of the mother, and as they picked up the boy to carry him from the train, his limbs straightened out suddenly and before he was removed from the train deafh ensued.
