"The public and the aper should not neglect to praise the public servants who do their duty well. They should follow the same principles as a business man, who, when one of his fellow employes does good work, tells him so, and perhaps gives him a better position." She Carried $5,000 With Her On Leaving Milwaukee For Chicago. STRANGELY DISAPPEARS. Chicago, Oct 23. Mysteriously missing, after starting from Milwaukee to Chicago with $5,000 In her possession, Mrs. George Williams, of Milwaukee, has either been murdered or kidnapped here, according to the belief of the police. Detectives from every police station in the city have begun a hunt for the woman, who is 74 years old. They think she was followed to Chicago by people who knew she had the money. Mrs. Williams secured the money from the sale of her home in Milwaukee. She left there Friday to visit her daughter, Mrs. Charles Anderson, of Aurora, but since she was placed on the train that day not a trace of her has been found. Mrs. Williams was accompanied to the St. Paul depot in Milwaukee by her son, George H. Williams, a conductor on that road. When she left Milwaukee she was in the best of health and, according to her son, seemed to be in good spirits. She carried about $50 in cash in a handbag and the balance of the. $5,000 had been sewed up into various parts of her clothing. SWEET CIDER NEW CHESTNUTS DRY POPCORN HADLEY BROS. New Corn at ONER G.
