Long hours of extra duty are an ticipated by the boys of the police department during the week. The force will not be increased unless Supt. Bailey decides that there will be no other way to provide suitable protection. Tt Is believed likely that the big crowds whlchwill be in the city will include persons of bad reputations and the police will be on the look out. There will be a number of parades and it is upon such occasions that sneak thieves are the most active. For this reason the police will take extra precaution.
