IS NOW FEELING LIKE ITS NAME Indianapolis Thirty Cent Club Wants to Know Where Receipt Is.
SENT MONEY TO BRYAN. REQUESTED ACKNOWLEDGMENT BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN HEARD AND NOW MUTINY IS STARING NEBRASKAN IN FACE. Special Correspondence. Indianapolis, Sept. 1. When Bryan was in Indianapolis a week ago he received a letter from , a Thirty-Cent club, which contributed $11.70' to the democratic fund and Inclosed the money with the request that its receipt be acknowledged. The club has not yet received a reply and is growing impatient. Inasmuch as this club was the first of its kind to organize in Indianapolis, it was felt that the Nebraskan would reply before leaving the city. He did not do so, however, although the money ws sent direct to him, and now there is complaint. The letter also stated that several members of the club had opposed him in past campaign bits, a bit of news that should have pleased Bryan very much, the club members thought. A revolt is threatened unless there is prompt acknowledgement of the money, with a thank you added. FOUNTAIN CITY, IND. Fountain City, Ind., Sept. 1. GUILD MORTALITY IN SUMNER Every summer the newspapers are full of horrifying stories of the death list among infants and children and extremely old people. In nursing infants and children still being fed largely on milk this is usually due to the quality of the USE milk itself, and in aged people to a general weak nn Ai niVTI 1 e eningof the system because of extreme heat. !!lmin ni-nem Still 8Tat may ot the deaths are due to digesSYRUP PEPSIN tive trouble, and these can usually be avoided by the timely use of a reliable laxative-tonic.
