Some changes are to be made in the Logansport team and the Logansport Journal has also heard that Muncie people are trying to buy the Logansport I.-O. franchise. The track candidates at the high .school did not practice last evening on account of the inclement conditions of the weather. Two more men have joined the squad and from the present outlook there will be a good team representing the school. At present time there is Haas, who is out for the hammer, Allison, captain, for the hurdles, shot put; the two Cottons for the long runs have just joined the team and should be able to make the tall Moorland of Anderson take to the timbers; Reid and Chapman for the high jump; Wann for the broad jump, hurdles and quarter mile run. Wann has a brother in Earlham college who has made quite a record for himself in track work, and his brother "Happy Jr.." should be able to make good. Manager Torrence will probably secure the Rushville high school track tram for a duel meet to be held at Richmond May !, a week before the quadrangular field meet at Anderson in which the high schools of Anderson. Marion and Kokomo and Richmond will contest. In this way the local team should gain some very profitable knowledge on track work and would not enter the big meet as absolutely green men. Little interest is being shown by the students in the track work. Out of some 20O boys there are only five of the boys out trying for places and in this way there is no hard work to secure, a position on the team. It is very probable that the management of the team will make a ruling by which only the men that are sure to make several points will be taken with the team. This will arouse more intereM and make the candidates work harder. It. is said it is up to to the girls to get after their Sunday night chairholders and make them stop keeping late hours and furthermore ask them to appear on the field of action from now on. so there will be plenty of material to pick from. Hancock, the Earlham Polo vaulter, is an all around athlete, having won his E in foot, ball, base ball, basket ball and track. He is a very quiet fellow but can get over ten feet with ease. Wann is an experienced track man and understands all the ins and outs of the game. Last year he won 17''j points for the Quakers. Mutton is a senior and realizes that, this is his last chance to tight for the yellow ami white, so it will take a lot to beat him. Nanney and Winslow of Earlham, are a "pair to draw to" in the halfmile, and should break the I. C. A. L. record next month. Furnas, Brown, Calvert, and Stanley, all quakers, have yet to win their
