Hushville, Ind., April 22. Fear of incendiaries has led Thorn, its Downey, of near Rusiivillu to repent and wish he. had not Instituted prosecution of men arrested and charged with the theft of a horse belonging to him. A few years ago, Downey was a member of a jury that convicted a man of horse stealiiHj and sent him to the penitentiary. About two weeks after the man was released from prison, a
large barn on the Downey farm was burned. Mr. Downey sa.is he dislikes to prosecute-the pers-ons arrested and would Tather have lost his horse and not recovered it. than take the risk of a second fire. Tho cases will be pushed by the state and Mr. Downey will not be given a chance to withdraw.
