One of the Most Important Questions To Consider in the Search for Happiness and Health. The burning question to you is. "Aro you getting out of life all the pleasure and the health you are entitle! to?" If not, why not? Xo matter whether every organ and member of your body is In a sound state of health and strength, if your stomach is in any way disordered, you are not gninx to be 'yourself."

You are Roin to be a worried, out-of-sorts, nervous or sullen individual, whose actions will reflect, your condition inside, arid people will naturally avoid you. The world wants to smile and be cheerful, and unless you are cheerful and smile, at least, occasionally, you will have few friends, fewer opportunities, no success, and you will go down in defeat defeated by. dyspepsia and a bad stomach. A t;ood and thorough digestion has a quick, wonderful reaction upon the brain. You must have noticed it many times, for the brain and stomach are as intimately connected as a needle and its thread, one can hardly be used to advantaft without the other. If your stomach is slow and lazy

Hio Janeiro, Jan. The American fleet of 16 battleships entered the port of Rio Janeiro at '' o'clock yesterday nfternoon after a passage from Port of fcpain, Trinidad, more than ::, n miles, tinmarred by serious accident, replete with interesting incidents and ending with a royal welcome from the tUoiioHnds that gathered to greet the visitors. The fleet weighed anchor at 4 o'clock on the afternoon of December L'! at Port of Spain, and exactly at -1 o'clock yesterday the vessels were fe wimraing at their anchor in this beautiful harbor. All of the battle ships are here, but the supply ships, Culgoa and Glacier uve still at sea, not having beeu able to keep along with the others. The fleet has now covered approximately

4.mv miles, about one third the distance of the voyage to San Francisco Bay. Early in the morning the crowds began to gather in the streets of Rio Janeiro, and long before the signal flags were hoisted announcing the' approach of the American ships of war, thousands of curious spectators had taken lip the points of vantage on public buildings and the elevated quays. Whan the fleet steamed into the harbor, under the splendid mountains that framed the beautiful bay in the tropical sun, it was a spectacle incomparable to the eye. The roadstead lay like a glittering mirror beneath. Word that the fleet had passed Cape Frio, about. 4." milesout, was received at :.'!' o'clock, and immediate' v scores of tugs end other small erart crowded with rpectators, set out to meet the vessels und accompany them to the anchorage. Steamed Slowly Up the Bay. Outlined against the horizon the preat battleships stretched out in one long line, came slowly through the passage Into the bay. The Connecticut, Rear Admiral Evans's flagship, was in the lead, with 1he Brazilian cruisers dressed in gala attire, on

cither tide. Passing the fortress the Connecticut fired a. salute of -I guns, which was responded to by the BrazilJau warships, the German cruiser Bremen and the shore guns. The yards nnd fighting tops were manned, and cheers upon cheers were given for the splendid passage of the flagship aud Iter sister ships. As soon as the anchorage was made, the Hrazilian minister of marine, Admiral Alencor, the captain of the port, the American Consul. O. E. Anderson: the commandants of naval divisions

ond the civic authorities went on board

Hundreds oi launches, tugs and Email boats circled about the battle

ptaips until long after the suu had gone I down. Not less than l.".,ot.io to 'J0,ooj persons were aboard these boats, and I more than ,V,0oo .others were gathered j on shore to celebrate the coining of j the fleet.

At midnight on tho 5th the fleet, crossed the. equator, and Father Neptune visited the ships. On the flagship Connecticut, Neptune, surrounded by his various assistants and satellites, addressed a warm welcome to the Admiral in command.

Many at Neptune's Shrine. Never before had so many recruits crossed the line at one time, numbering: fully tx percent of the crews. Tltta great number of green hands gave l ather Neptune and his followers an unusual opportunity to put them through the initiation with inimitable spirit. Neptune's flag hung at the yard arm during the ceremonies. All the newspaper correspondents on the vessels paid the footing with the older officers and a number of midshipmen who took the initiation. There was the usual lathering and shaving

by the barbers and the ducking in the!

tanks, which was administered by the bears. Early on Friday morning a

false alarm of man oevboard was sent

out from the Missouri, which brought the fleet to a quick stop and boats were lowered. It was au excellent drill and well performed. During the night of the same day a brig, showing no lights, entered the column and caused a break in the formation. . A serious accident was avoided only by a skillful handling of the warships. The newspapers here publish special editions describing the splendid welcome extended to the Americans. Several of the papers will issue daily editions in English during the stay of the fleet and have made arrangements to secure extensive special dispatches from the United States, so the men may have the news of their own country.

in digesting your food, it. will produce at once a slow, lazy and cloudy influence upon your brain. Mark it! If your stomach has absolutely quit work, and fermentation is poisoning your vitals as a result, surely your brain is going to be sluggish and correspondingly depressed. No one need tell you that. But why continue to suffer all the miseries and torments that a disordered stomach brings you? If your stomach can not digest your food," what will? Where's the relief? Where's the cure? Stuart's Dyspepsia Tablets are the relief and the cure. Why? Because as all stomach troubles arise from indigestion and because one ingredient of Stuart's Dyspepsia Tablets is able to thoroughly and completely digest 3,000 grains of any kind of food,

doesn't it stand to reason tnat tnese little Dyspepsia Tablets are going to digest, all the food and whatever food you put into your stomach? Science nowadays can digest food without having to use the stomach for it. And Stuart's Dyspepsia Tablets are the result of this scientific discovery. They digest and digest thoroughly and well, anything and everything you eat.

So, if vour stomach refuses to work

Going West. "It's funny the impressions easterners get of the west,"' said a Columbus man. "I mean easterners who have been west. I know a New Yo. : woman who came to Columbus to live. It was her first trip west, and she had never been farther west than Fittsburg. " 'I was surprised with Columbus. she said. 'I told all the girls when I left that I'd be back in three months for a visit, and I asked them all to have their whisk brooms ready to help me brush the hayseed off of my back.' " 'Did you think it was a small town?' I asked her. " 'Well, I didn't think much about it at all before I knew I was to come here. But because it was so far west I thought it must, just in a general way, Ih: out in the country aud that I'd be a regular farmer before I saw New York again.' "Columbus Dispatch.

"Just Out of College." One of the important engagements of the present theatrical year at the Gennett is that of "Just Out of College," a comedy in three acts, by Geo. Ade, author of "The College Widow," which comes Wednesday night. Tho humor of the piece is said to be irresistible because of the underlying thought of the whole. Ado's character of Edward Worthingtou Swinger, the young man just out of college, is an excellent exemplification of the nerve and bluff the modern college graduate carries from the institution of learning into the world successfully.
