So general is the interest in roller polo throughout the Central West that a number of sportsmen of wide reputation, most of them professional baseball promoters, are said to be hopeful ef being able another season to organize a national league to take in several of the principal cities of the Missdssipi and Ohio valleys. They believe that with the stars of the game distributed among eiht or ten of t he big titles, the patronage would be sutlicient to make the venture a paying one. It has paid in cities of smaller i-ize, even when the salaries were faniy, and the promoters think the bin rities would take to the snort as roadSly, especially if the world's best pluyrra were secured, as they can be. CitJe.s from which a circuit probably would be selected in case the plans maturefully, are Louisville. K. Ohicai;o, Toledo, ().. Cleveland, ).. Cincintnati St. Louis Indianapolis, Columbus, )., Detroit Mich. Milwaukee. Pittsburjr, rind Kansas City.
