Probably the most unusual condition that has been noticeable in this section oi the country in the many years, was last Monday night when the heavens were perfectly clear and lightning flashed and thunder crashes reverberated through the skies. According to Walter Vossler, voluntary weather observer at the local pumping station, the thermometer stood 24 degrees below zero nine years ago last Saturday. Physicians of Richmond report that there is an unusually large amount of tonsilitis and throat troubles at the present time, due to the ever changing weather conditions.
