All the ships of the fleet which will make President Roosevelt's much discussed "peace cruise," are under orders to assembled at Hampton Roads by Dec. 0. Fleet Sails Dec. 16. The combination fleet under command of Rear-Admiral Itobley D. Evans "Fighting Bob' will leave there for the Pacific on Dec. 10. The amount of ammunition stored aboard the Louisiana will be duplicated on all the battleships. Each will take on from the Norfolk Navy Yard, twelve contact mines, for use in mining harbors, and also a supply of whitehead torpedoes, together with war heads for the same, shipped from the torpedo station at Newport. The fleet will carry 12,000 men and $,HXMXH in eatables and other supplies. The coal for the cruise, the largest in naval history, will cost .f2,5.t , m. The trips will be nearly 11,000 miles long and will consume sixtythree steaming days. Fifty-two more days will be spent in coaling and in larget practice. The route will be down the American and South American coast, through the straits of Magellan, and thence up the Pacific coast. The itinerary provides for an average of ten knots an kour. Starting with full bunkers of coal the ships will require more than 100,000 tons additional. The fleet is scheduled to reach Trinidad 1, ISO knots two days before Christmas. Rio Janerio will be reached Jan. 10, and Magdalena Bay will be reached on April lo. The movements alter that are unannounced. Wirelest phones are being attached to all th battle ships, and at all times durin the cruise they will be in instant communication with Washington. Mack is now a comedian, and is the stellar artist with "The Sunny Side of Broadway," which is touring the West. He has appeared in Ricnmond several times at the Gennett theatre "With his partner, Charles Murray. Off stage Mack is known to his friends in Wayne county as Ollie Trumbull. The excitement followed the announcement that the little comedian would marry Miss Helen Kelly.-of Deu. ver. Mack gave out the announcement Saturday, and declared the ceremony would take place ou Christmas day in Los Angeles. Miss Van claims to be the common law wife of Mack, and when she heard of the coming nuptials she declared she would shoot the comedian and then take poison.
