Wednesday afternoon a parade will take place the order of procession to be as follows: Mounted Marshals, Grand lodge officers and speakers in .carriages. Burt's band, c'niform Rank Companies. A banquet will follow. ASK FOR A GUARDIAN FOR JAMES NEARY. Through Prosecutor Jessup, Margaret Hess, Mary Coniff and Josephine Neary have filed a petition in the circuit court to have a guardian appointed for James Neary on the grounds that he is an habitual drunkard. A Rejected Claim. An insurance broker got a request .1 few days ago for an immediate, call upon one of his wealthy women customers. "I've had a fire," she explained, "and I want you to make my claim at once. It is very imperative and is embarrassing to me until it is settled. You see, my false teeth such a beautiful set they cost me $251 laid them on tho dining table. My servant girl, so careless, picked up some papers, my teeth among them, and tossed all into the Are. And such lovely teeth, and I'd had thein so long they just had become set to tny palate perfectly and were worth to me twice what they cost, so I think you ought to get me $50 for them." The claim is in the company's list jf "not allowed." and the broker is "a horrid old thing." New York Sun. France and Ireland. The evergreen strawberry tree la found growing wild only in the south of France and Spain on the continent and in the counties of Cork and Kerry in the British Isles. Certain familiar plants in Ireland are found elsewhere only in the Pyrenees and some portions of Spain and Portugal. A study of the Irish insects and beetles produces equally surprising results. These facts and others lead to the conclusion that there was formerly a continuous coast line between France and Ireland. Argonaut.

One of the first words that a baby j says is mamma or mother, and it is not strange, therefore, to fl&d it one of the first aud simplest words in every language. There is no word essir ; for a child to say than "ma" naless j it be "Da." In Hebrew and Arabic mother is "em" and "am." It is 'mam" in Welsh and "moder"' ia An-glo-Saxon. In other languages It Is slightly different, but near enough like our own word "mother" to make It an almost universal word, so that a child crying in any language could be understood in almost auy other language.
