This wa3 followed by tne roll call of lodges and seventeen lodges out of the twenty-eight in the district, responded. After this the grand chancellor answered inquiries of members relating among other things to the correct interpretation of various points in Pythian law. Following came the reports of the committees ana then third rank work was conferred on a class of four by the team of Winchester lodge. "Good of the order" came next and was taken advantage of by several members to throw- boquets at the order and their particular lodges. Then the lodge closed and all the members adjourned to a splendid banquet fur
nished by Winchester lodge and presided over by the Pythian Sisters. From the reports made at tbe meeting. Pythlanism in this district was never in a more prosperous condition than it now is, and great expectations were held out for another and even more prosperous season during the coming year. Wayne county was represented Rt the district meeting by members front liagerstowu lodge. Fountain City lodge, Coeur do Lion, Triumph and Iola lodges of Richmond.

In the forenoon vis-i . itlng members were met at the various trains by the visiting committee of J Winchester lodge and a band and were i accorded a rousing reception. At one o'clock in the afternoon the visiting members and members of Winchester lodge, formed in a parade and, marching to the strains of martial music, : proceeded to the opera house where
the first ceremonies of the afternoon occurred. The Hon. James E. Watson delivered the address of welcome, to which Grand Chancellor Frank L.. Gass responded. Following this an excellent presentation of the story of Damon and Pythias was given by the team of Winchester lodge, after which all the knights adjourned to the lodge room. I Lodge was duly opened and as the time before supper was short, the only work done was the appointment of
committees. After this a recess was
taken and the visitink knights were treated to a splendid spread by the
Pythian Sisters. Following this the visiting members and members of Winchester lodge were once again formed in parade and, led by the Win-
