A doctor recently said: "I know that if I
keep Coffee from most of my patients the remedies would be more effective."
That's becacse Coffee contains a drugCaffeine which interferes with the success of other drugs the doctor may be giving the patient. Many persons do not realize they are taking adr g into their systems when they drink Coff e or Tea, but such is the fact. Some of the effects of the Coffee drug are: Nervousness, Palpitation of the Heart, Shortness of Br ath, Insomnia, Sour Stomach, Loss of lIalural Appetite, Cold Hands and Feet, Indigestion, Bowel Troubles, etc., etc. Common sense would suggest the disuse of Coffee when such symptoms show themselves, before the disease becomes permanent. It is well to heed thedoctofs advice when he says:

Hotel Wychmere, ISth and Indiana Avenue. "Wrinkles," the little word that causes a shudder to every woman and most men. are caused more by carelessness and neglect than by years. We all know the young person who makes creases bv lifting the eyebrows and by smiling so continuously, also the person who frowns and squints, and the one who from ill health and poorly nourished skin shows the lines crossing the face in every direction. Such people may all take heart, because by the use of K. liurnhara s wonderful skin food such lines may and surely will be obliterated. It is unnecessary to-day for any one to carry these telltale marks. A course of treatment as arranged by K. Burnham will positively remove wrinkles, fill out the sunken cheeks, remove pimples and blackheads, and restore any face to its youthful contour and complexion. These treatments with the different articles are illustrated and explained in a little booklet which is published by E. BURNHAM. which makes it so plain that any lady can use these toilet articles with equally good success in the privacy of her own home as if she had visited Bnrnham's Beautifying Parlors and taken a course of treatments in this great establishment. Sheathing a Ship. Sheathing a ship is covering the bot
tom with a (-heath of copper. In all' sens, but particularly in those of the i tropics, the hulls of shins are liable to !
the attack of eertain worms which penetrate the hardest wood and have been known in the course of a few months to damage the hull so ss to render the vessel worthless. Copper sheatbing protects the ship not only against the attacks of these toren-, but also against decay, and is especially valuable in the cae of iron ships, the metal rapidly oxidizing and becoming brittle when exposed to the action of the sea water.
