A MEETING ON THURSDAY. 9NLY A FEW CITIES IN THIS COUNTRY HAVE OPPORTUNITY TO SECURE WORK OF THIS NATURE.
The public school teachers of Richmond are doing a phase of advanced work which is really quite unique, and indicates a fine professional interest. Reference is made to the college courses they are taking in Earlham college, by which means they are making credits which count toward graduation. This work has been in progress for four years and each year has marked increased interest and increased attendance. The classes meet once a week for two hours at suitable times outside of school hours. Work has been doiie heretofore in literature, history, modern languages and bible study. The city school board makes an offer of increased pay to teachers who receive the college degree. Supt. Mott --"oarages the work and Earl-hr-crates in sending her profesrr -i public school buildings for f modation of classes. These c e open to others also besides tei . and several Have availed then:.'ives of the opportunity, some coming from towns near at hand. On next Thursday afternoon at 4:ir the Earlham professor and those wishing work will meet at the Garfield school to make plans for the- fifth year's work. Work will be offered this year in French, history, literature, bible and mathematics by Professors Charles, Hodgin. YVm. N. Trucblood, Russell and Hadley. People who have a tendency to constipation, or actually have chronic constipation, will give a good deal to know how to cure it; Yet the method is a simple one and not at all expensive. However, it is almost as important to know what not to do as what to do. Do not attempt to cure constipation by a sudden movement of the bowels secured through salts, purgative waters or cathartic pills or powders, because it can't be done in that way. One swallow does not make a summer, and one movement
of the bowels does not cure constipation
