WANT TO CONSOLIDATE.

Anderson, Ind., Aug. 9 The sixtysecond annual session of the White River conference of the Church of the United Brethren in Christ will convene in the First U. B. church in this city, Wednesday, Aug. 14th, for a sixdays meeting. The conference will be presided over by Bishop G. M. Matthews, D., D., of Chicago. The conference district comprises all the United Brethren churches in northeastern Indiana. The territory is divided into two districts Indianapolis, composed of sixty-nine churches and presided over by the Rev. M. F. Dawson of Pendleton, and the Marion District, composed of sixty churches and presided over by the Rev. H. S. James of Marion. A movement to consolidate these two districts will come up for discussion at the meeting of this conference.

BOYS ENTERTAIN TO AID POOR PLAYMATE

Cambridge City, Ind., Aug. 9 At a benefit show given by four boys, Fred Wright, Floyd Scott, Robert Wright and Russel Penny, in the rear of the latter's home Tuesday afternoon and night, about $7.50 was raised to help Raymond Covey, a fellow playmate, who is in poor circumstances and is afflicted with an incurable disease. A parade was given by the boys at noon and about one hundred people witnessed the evening performance which consisted of fancy riding, trapeze work and other "stunts," all of which were a credit to the young performers.
