Repertoire at the Gennett. Tonight the Cutter stock company which is filling its second week's engagement at the Gennett, will produce "Dora Thome," an old time favorite and will also present the same play on Thursday night. For Friday night. Saturday afternoon and night "Deadwood Dick" will be the offering. Friday night there will also be amateur numbers and this is expected to be fully as interesting as last week. Five dollars in gold is given. Vaudeville at the Phillips. No one who has seen the vaudeville bill at the Phillips this week but is willing to substantiate all that this column has said of a favorable nature in reference to It. Undoubtedly it is worth much more than the small price of admission. West, the musical brownie, is still a storm center of fun and even at that he is not putting the other performers into eclipse by any means.
THE DOCTOR AWAY FROM HOME WHEN MOST NEEDED. People arc often very much disappointed to find that their family physician is away from home whan they most need his services. Diseases like cramp colic and cholera morbus require prompt treatment, and have in many instances proven fatal before medicine could be procured or a physician summoned. The right way is to keep at hand a bottle of Chamberlain's Colic. Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy. No physician can prescribe a better medicine for these diseases. By having it in the house you escape much pain and suffering and all risk. Buy it now; it may save life. For sale by A. G. Luken & Co.
In a certain technical college when the question, "Why are manholes made elliptical and not circular?" was put to the class In examination the majority answered by describing the shape of a man's head or body, or in some other manner going into the details of the human anatomy. The others answered that the reason for making them elliptical is that the covers may be placed on the inside, an operation which would be Impossible with a circular manhole.
