Hagerstown, Ind., July 10 Announcement of the name of E. M. Haas of Richmond as a candidate for the republican chairmanship of the Sixth congressional district seems to meet with the approval of Jefferson township politicians. While none has yet so far as known expressed a preference for any one man for the position, all the republicans agree that if elected to the place, Mr. Haas will give the republican cause in this district a business like management and all candidates seeking recognition from the party would be treated on an equal footing.
THE DOCTOR AWAY FROM HOME WHEN MOST NEEDED. People are often very much disappointed to find that their family physician is away from home whennhey most need his services. Diseases like cramp colic and cholera morbus require prompt treatment, and have in many Instances proven fatal before medicine could be procured or a physician summoned. The right way is to keep at hand a bottle of Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy. No phjsician can prescribe a bettar medicine for these diseases. By having it in the house you escape much pain and suffering and all risk. Buy it now; it may save life. For sale by A. G. Luken & Co. Hundreds of Richmond Readers Find Daily Toil a Burden. The hustle and worry of business men. The hard work and stooping of working men. The woman's household cares, Are too great a strain on the kidneys. Backache, headache, sideache, Kidney troubles, urinary troubles follow. A Richmond citizen tells you how to cure them all. B. F. Lundsford, driver, employed on the city street work, living at 314 South Fifteenth street, Richmond, Ind. says: "For some weeks I was troubled with pain in the back and a disordered action of the kidn-ys. The jar of riding seemed to irritate the trouble and when I caught cold my kidneys were always unusually weak. It was hard for me to endure the dull, draggy aching in my back. I was trying something for my trouble when I heard of Doan's Kidney Pills and got a box at A. G. Luken & Co.'s drug store. I used Doan's Kidney Pills for about ten days, when the pains and aches left me, and I then continued the treatment until cured. - From my experience I am glad to give Doan's Kidney Pills a hearty endorsement." For sale by all dealers. Price HO cents. Foster-Milburn Co.. Buffalo, New York, sole agents for the United States. Remember the name Doan's take no other. and Amusements Vaudeville at the Phillips. One of the most hearty laughs in the entire program that is being put on in vaudeville at the New Phillips this week is created by Nick Conway. Irish comedian, when he gives an imitation of how the street car conductor treats different people getting onto the car. The particularly ridiculous portion is the comparison between the brusk way in which he hurries the older and less handsome ladles along and the most charming manner he assumes when the passenger chances to be a fair and winsome maiden. Conway also has a laughing song specialty that is clever, as he laughs to music, the same as if he were singing. All told, the bill will afford an afternoon or evening of much pleasure and is commended to the lovers of vaudeville. Repertoire at the Gennett. "The Hidden Hand" will be the bill at the Gennett tonight, and Thursday night and It is one of the strongest in the long list that is put on by the Cutter company. The plan of changing the bill three times a week instead of daily is a popular one, as it gives more than one opportunity to see a play and makes it possible for those who cannot attend the first performance of it to reach a later one. The Cutter company has a combination of repertoire and specialties that it is hard to believe It can afford to put on at the low prices of ten and twenty cents for either department of the entertainment is worth the price of admission. Indications are that the company will have a long and successful run in this city. FURNISHED PART OF PROGRAM Eikhorn Mills, Ind., July 10. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Hale and family ac companied by the two little daughters of Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Parks, Mary and Flora attended the Sunday school convention at Abington.
