HOW COUNTRIES LINE UP. The Hague, Jnly 6 An entire afternoon sitting of the committee on the
Geneva convention was given over to
a discussion of the American proposition, presented by Joseph H. Choate on June 24, regarding the inviolability of private property on the high seas. The proposal Is as follows: "The private property of all citizens of signatory povers, with the exception of contraband of war, shall be exempt on the high seas or elsewhere from capture or seizure by the armed vessels or military forces of said powers. NothLng . in this rule implies in any, way the inviolability of vessels which will attempt to enter a port blockaded by the naval forces of said powers, nor of the cargo of said ves
sels." , , The debate showed that Austria, the Netherlands, Norway and Greece favored it and that Brazil, Portugal, Italy, France, Germany and Russia were conditionally favorable, and that Great Britain and the Spanish-American republics were opposed to' the proposition.

give the East Main street church only
his time on Sunday, which he has con
sented to do. It Is understood that

Twenty :three barrels about two-thirds of the lot were unpacked Saturday morning, and are shown for the first time tomorrow. The rest of the shipment will arrive in a day or two. Haviland is to Chinaware pretty much what sterling is to silver. The best China made, which is a well known fact, is produced by the famous Haviland China people. This special lot which we are placing on display are direct from the Great Haviland Pottery. Many shapes have been designed only within the last few months. New decorations, new patterns, in fact, everything about these goods are up-to-date. They are the very latest in the market. In variety and quality and reasonableness of price, these goods, you will see for yourself, are a little beyond anything we have ever been able to get hold of. The full dinner sets range in price from $25 to $140. Only medium and high grades are made by the Haviland people. With such an opportunity it will pay you to call and see this line of ours. We have also a cheaper grade from $5 up. Also a great many odd pieces, such as plates, cups, saucers, berry dishes, etc.
