4XT ATHLETIC PARK TWO GAMES WILL BE PLAYED WITH THE FAST DAYTON 8HILOH TEAMCOUNTRY CLUB. There will be plenty of "doings' In Jllchmond on the Fourth of July. Of "eourse, there will be the usual all day picnics in every available spot in the Vicinity of this city and Glen Miller Will probably accommodate the largest bumber of these merry makers. There will be a large number of picnickers who will spend the day at Jackson I park, where there will be dancing at the pavilion, both in the afternoon and In the evening. It is also probable there will be a fireworks display at Jackson park in the evening. Athletic park will be the center of attraction for the base ball public. On this date the locals will play two games with the fast Dayton, O., Shilohs one of the best independent teams in western Ohio. One game will be played in the morninig and the other in the afternoon. At the afternoon game It is probable that the largest crowd of the season will attend. (Out at the Richmond Country club big preparations are under -way , for the proper celebration of the nation's birthday. Fifty dollars' worth of fireworks will be sent up and a dance will be given. In the afternoon there will be a tournament, played over the course. Some tennis events on the club courts have also been arranged for. There will be vaudeville at the New I'hillips both in the afternoon and evening, and this popular play house Is nue to attract large crowds. Little Willie, who has been tavjng his pennies and nickels for several weeks, plans to make deep inroads into the local supply of fireworks and if he does not come out of the celebra tlon with a proper supply of burns i will not be his fault. PRETTY HOME WEDDING AT WILLIAMSBURG, IND. Grover Davis and Miss Gertrude Kenworthy Wed. GET BEAUTIFUL PRESENTS. Williamsburg, Ind., June 22. A quiet but pretty home wedding occurred Wednesday evening at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. Kenworthy, when their daughter, Gertrude and Grover Davis of Lynn, Ind., were united iu marriage by the Rev. Lewis D. Rehl f the M. E. church of Lynn, Ind. After refreshments were served the happy couple left for their home in Richmond. The bride was beautifully dressed in white, her going awayT gown a light gray. The house was tastefully decorated with roses, orange blossoms and ferns. Owing to the 'serious illness of the groom's mother, the only guests aside from the immediate families were Mr. and Mrs. Asa Pitts of Fountain City; Miss Alice Nichols of Carlos City; Mrs. Robert Douglass, Jr.. of Indianapolis; Mr. Linden Kenworthy. of Halleck, Minn.; Mr. Chas. Davis of Lynn. Mr. Davis is one of the most highly respected young men of Lynn. Ind., and the bride has for five years been a successful and popular teacher, first at Lynn and later at Fountain City. 1600 TELEPHONES USED. Cambridge City, Ind., June 22 The new directories for the Citizens Telephone company have been distributed and much admiration has been expressed for the neat appearance. They were printed and designed exclusively by the Tribune and are a credit to the designers. The new books contain the names of 1600 subscribers and also attractive advertising matter from here and surrounding towns, making it up-to-date in every respect. Eaton, O., June 22. The board of education met the past week for the purpose of employing a teacher to fill the
vacancy, caused by the death of Miss Ella Miller. It was also decided to em ploy an additional high school assist ant. owing to the Increase in the membership of the school. Miss Edith Miller of New Paris. Ohio, was chosen for the latter place, and Mr. Taylor of Montgomery county, was employed to teach one of the lower grades. Mr. Taylor will move with his family to Eaton. TO A RAHCHJN MEXICO Jesse McConkey Will Leave Cambridge City. Cambridge City, June 22. Jesse McConkey, deliveryman with F. H. Ohmit & Co.. leaves' for Mexico July 1, where he will take employment on a large ranch near Almorogo. ENUMERATION FINISHED Figures Are Given for Preble County, Ohio. Eaton. O., June 22. The last quadrennial enumeration, just returned by the assessors of Preble county, show3 that there are (J.816 voters in the county, air white, black or foreign , born except one in Somers township, who is returned as a Cuban. Of this total, there are 881 residing in Eaton. GOES TO YEARLY MEETING Rev. Aaron Napier Will Visit New Market, Can. Centerville, Ind., June 22. The Rev. Aaron Napier will leave on next Wednesday for New Market, Ontario, Canada, where he will attend the yearly meeting of Friends. Fountain City, Ind. Fred Johnson, near Hopewell, met with an accident while riding his wheel In company with his twin brothers.
