Few Syr.imetrical Faces. "Very few persons have perfectly symmetrical faces," said the photographer. "The two sides are not alike, and almost invariably the left side is the better looking. The right side seems to get old sooner than the left side. The contour of a face changes with age. The change is more rapid on the right side, and 'crow feet' appear sooner and are more pronounced on that side. I believe the right side of the average person's face !s a year older than the left side. There is more character, but less beauty, in the right side of the face. I try to learn diplomatically what my patrons are likely to prefer and then photograph the right or the left side accordingly." Kansas City Star.

GOOD NEWS Many Indiana Readers Have Heard It And Profited Thereby. "Good news travels fast," and the thousands of bad back sufferers in Indiana are glad to learn that prompt relief is within their reach. Many a lame, weak and aching back is bad no more, thanks to Doan's Kidney Pills. Our citizens are telling the good news of their experience with tha Old Quaker Remedy. Here is an example worth reading: David B. Fetters, of 700 Fletcher Ave., Indianapolis, Ind., says: "I have worked pretty hard in my time and think that tht strain told on my kidneys. I suffered from backache more or less for a number of years and as I usually enjoy good health! I did not know what caused the aching. I have lain awake half the night trying to get sleep but the dull, gnawing pain would keep up and make me lose much needed rest. I applied liniments and used plasters, but got no relief. Finally a friend told me about Doan's Kidney Pills and I got a box at a drug store. They seemed to suit my case exactly and before I had used another box I had experienced such relief that I procured another and by the time I had used two boxes I was cuured. Since then there has not been the slightest Indication of a return of kidney complaint." For sale by all dealers. Price 50 cents. Foster-Milburn Co., Buffalo, New York, Sole Agents for the United States. Remember the name Doan's and take no other.

Lightning created considerable excitement at the city building Friday afternoon during the heavy rain storm. About two o'clock lightning ran down the electric light wires and into the hose house, burning out all insulations and putting the firemen to flight. The fire gong rang several minutes before it could be stopped.
It was thought for a while that the building might be afire and the fire laddies with their Babcock extinguishers searched the building from garrett to basement for anything that looked like a blaze.

No Stage Murders In Turkey. On one point the Turkish censor of the drama is inflexible there shall be no murder committed en the stage. This is in order to prevent corruption by evil example. Consequently the dramatic effect of many plays is somewhat marred by the manner In which principals destined to be murdered are rushed off the stage and, after receiving the fatal thrust out f sight of the audience, stagger back from the wings to sing their death songs.
