You're Apt to Forget In this warm weather that you'll need more coal next winter to keep warm, to say nothing of coal for cooking rteht now. Know it's cheaper now than it wll be? Know that there's no such scurry for it now as later on? Wise people get and keep ahead of the game. O. D. Bullerdick 529 S. 5th St. Phone 1235

There i? a feeling of expectancy and anticipation hanging over the employes of the Pennsylvania railroad in this city. It is all caused by the Richmond division picnic which will be held at Somerville, O., June 29. From the long list of athletic events and variety of pleasure stunts arranged by the committee on this feature of the day, the employes expect to come buck to Richmond more tired than if they had done a day work. It will be one continual rond of pleasure, however, and a ager crowd is expected to attend from this city than that ever attending a sirAilar meeting of the Richmond division employes. The committee on prizes has completed its work and soon the prizes for each event will be announced, and they will be placed in a conspicuous uptown show window for exhibition. The list of prizes this year is especially good." The events as they have been ar

APPRECIATED. Still Sellinq Fast.

At the time of going to press this evening about 200 lots had been sold in Beall View addition since the sale opened last Friday. The large number of sales proves that our residents appreciate the opportunity the Southside Improvement Association is now giv ing people to acquire their own homes. The prices of the lots are extremely low and the terms are all that any one could ask. Some are taking advantage of the low prices by buying for investment purposes because it is a certainty these lots will increase in value rapidly. We are authorized to state that those desirous of registering for the free lot may do so any day or evening at S X. Sth street

up. This action was taken and the ordinance passed with only one dissenting vote, cast by Councilman Ogborn, who thinks council should not indulge in suclt reckless extravagance. The ordinance was amended on a motion made by Councilman Englebert to read that the local delegation should comprise four councilmen and four other city officials, to. be named by the mayor. Williams Speaks Out. All of the delegates appointed by the mayor, except City Engineer Fred Charles, went to Logansport. Mr. Parry went in place of the city engineer. Mayor Schillinger was very careful in naming the council delegation. He asked every member if he desired to attend the meeting and all of them declined the honor except Englebert. Williams, Von Pein and Deuker. The mayor did not have to press the invitation extended to Mr. Williams very hard. In fact Mr. Williams spoke right out and said that he wanted to go and he wanted to go badly. "I never have attended a municipal league meeting and I v.ant to go to Logansport and see what one looks like," said the councilman from the old first ward. His Honor, the mayor, pays his expenses out of his own pocket. A Logansport dispatch says: The seventeenth annual meeting of the Municioal League of Indiana begins here today and the session will continue xintil Thursday night. Delegates ate expected from every city in the state. Several arrived last night. This afternoon in the high school building the meeting was called -to order by J. Fred France, ex-mayor of Huntington.
