DIRECTORS WERE CHOSEN MONDAY NIGHT AND THEY IN TURN ELECTED OFFICERS BY-LAWS WERE ADOPTED.

A most successful meeting was heH Monday night in the Commercial club rooms by the incorporators of Richmond's new Y. M. C. A. and seven directors -were elected as follows: Adam H. Bartel, John If. Johnson. J. B. Dougan, Henry Gennett, John F. McCarthy, Clem A. Gaar and M. C. Henley. "With these men back of the Y. M. C. A. proposition in Richmond, nothing bus success Is predicted. After 'the trustees were selected the directors held a meeting at which E. R. Stacy, state secretary of the Y. M. C. A., read the by-laws and with a few small changes, they were adopted as the by-laws of Richmond's new association. The directors also received a numer of proposals on the site proposition, and all received were in close proximity to the business section of the city. The committee chosen to select a site for the new association is unwilling to state just where these sites are situated at present for purely business reasons. This committee,

which is composed of Sharon E. Jones Adam H. Bartel, Richard Sedgwick, E K. Shera and Chas. H. Moore, will re ceive offers of sites and when a suita

ble one is found will report to the

board of directors, wnich will either

sanction the location or select another.

The board of directors elected the

following officers:. SharomE. Jones, president. George II. Knollenberg, vice presi dent. A. L. Smith, recording secretary. A. M. Gardner, treasurer.

The directors decided to hold regular

meetings the.first Friday night of each month.

H.. Carrier as superintendent of the Richmond business college. Mr. Carrier has been transferred to Lafayette.

was painfully injured in operating a saw. Three fingers of his right hand

were mangled and one on his left.
