All those who intend to take part
in the tournament should post their
names on the entry list before 5 p. m Friday of this week. The greens com
mittee will meet Friday evening to
arrange the handicaps so that each
player who takes part in the contest may have a chance to be Simons: the winners and to help pay for the sup
per. It has been announced that the greens committee has employed a professional golf instructor, John Reuter, and he assumed his new duties today. Mr. Reuter has entire charge of the links and will also act as caddie master. He is an expert player and a most competent instructor and will
give lessons to any member of the
club who desires to be instructed. Mr. Reuter is the first professional golfer ever employed by the local club and he is expected to be a great acquisition, stimulating new interest in the game. Members of the greens committee urge every member of the club who
has a set of golf clubs to enter the contest Saturday as it is desired to make the opening of the season an auspicious event. The links this year are in quite good condition and will be a most popular place this season.
