Cleveland, O., May 15 At the Fasig-Tipton blue ribbon sale Major Delmar, the most conspicuous of of American trotting geldings, was sold to William Bradley of New York for $12,000. Blacklock went to William B. Chisholm of Thiseldoune Stock Farm, Randall, O., for $17,500, and George G brought $10,000, the j purchaser of the latter being the same ! as the purchaser of Major Delmar. The two first named were part of the Billings stable. ROLLER SKATING TO CONTINUE NEXT YEAR No Immediate Change in the Coliseum Plans. It has been announced by the coliseum management that roller skating will continue again next year, as the patronage given the sport during the past season was good, and the same is expected to hold good next year. There will probably be one new feature, however, and that will be moving pictures, which will be given each skating evening. This idea is now under consideration by the coliseum management and is favored. When asked whether there is any immediate thought of establishing vaudeville at the big rink, M. C. Henley, who is one of the principal stockholders, stated that this might be done when no more interest is taken in roller skating. PEBBLE Hi HIS SHOE; GOTJTO COURT Harry Ruth Told Judge Converse a Funny Story.
Harry Ruth, a stranger, got a pebble in his shoe Monday afternoon while strolling down South Sixth street in search of work. His modesty forbade him removing Ms shoe on the street in search of work. His modesty forbade him removing his shoe so he retired to the attic of the home of Mrs. Anna Sickmann, 316 South Sixth street, which is being remodeled. Mrs. Sickmann, after Ruth had spent an hour searching for the pebble in the seclusion of the attic, entered the house and ordered Ruth to the fresh air. He instantly compiled with the command. Mrs. Sickmann then swore out a warrant for his arrest on the charge of trespass. In the city court this morning Judge Converse dismissed the case after telling Ruth that there is no doubt that the pebble story was a very rocky one. He advised the man to get work immediately or to leave town. JOHN BURNS WAS RELEASED ON TRIAL. John Burns was in the city court for the third time this year to answer a charge of drunk.
