PREPARING FOR SALE OF BEALLVIEW LOTS Men and Teams Are Now Busily Employed in the New South Side Addition. SALE FOR NEXT MONTH. THERE WILL BE SEVEN HUNDRED LOTS AND IT IS BELIEVED THERE WILL BE A DEM AND FOR THEM. Men and teams are now at work in the new Beallview addition to Richmond, staking off lots, grading streets and laying tiling, in preparation for the sale of lots in the addition next month. The lots, numbering seven hundred, will be placed on sale under the supervision of the Mutual Realty company of Indianapolis, and a ready sale is predicted. There was never a more beautiful addition to the city and with all conveniences it should prove a most desirable spot for homes. The entire Beallview addition will not be divided into building lots, as a portion consisting of several acres will be reserved for factory sites. A number of firms have applied to the South Side Improvement association for sites, but according to the statement of one of the members of the association, those applying v, anted the sites, a bonus to come to Richmond; enough money to build their factories, and then still more to operate them for about two years, while the improvement association would get nothing in return, other than the factories affording employment for a number of men. The exact date for the opening sale of lots has not been set as yet. Mrs. S. Joyce, 180 Sullivan St., Claremont, N. H., writes: "About a year ago I bought two bottles of Foley's Kidney Cure. It cured me of a severe case of Kidney trouble of several years' standing. It certainly is a grand, good medicine, and I ' heartily recommend it." - . A. G. Luken & Co. . Independents From all Parts Of State Gathered There To Discuss Situation. WILL MEET THE BELL. THERE IS TO BE A CONFERENCE BETWEEN THE RIVAL INTERESTS BUT LITTLE IS EXPECTED FROM IT. A. C. Lindemuth, state president of the Independent Telepnone company, with Perry J. Freeman and Win. T. Bailey have gone to Indianapolis to attend tho sessions of the independent telephone convention, which will be held in that city Wednesday and Thursday. Mr. Lindemuth will attend the consultation between the Independents and Bell representatives at which the quesfion of merger will be thrashed out thoroughly. It is thought that nothing tending toward the nnion of the two companies will be done. E. T. Bonds, district contracting agent for the Central Union company, who was in this city Monday with the Cleveland wholesalers excursion, stated that he did not think anything would be done toward the union. He said that the Bell company would never surrender its local business unless the Independent people paid the former a satisfactory price. The statement, of Mr . Bonds strengthens the belief that unless the question is solved amicably there will be war to the bitter end, until either one or the other company is forced to leave the field through financial reasons. The Indianapolis conference and convention will be watched with more than ordinary interest, owing to the statements which have been issued by both companies in regard to the merger proposition.
