Pennies

are worthy of your considera tion. Many persons very fool

ishly cast them aside in scorn; these same people are usually

the ones who are constantly in debt and need of money. If

they could only be made to re

alize that the pennies, and the

nickels, and the dimes, if saved, would mount into dollars and the dollars into a tidy fortune if they would understand and save, their financial trouble could be avoided. Think this over, and then open up an account drawing three per cent, compound interest at Richmond Trust Co.

Charles Newlin, deputy ftumuy auditor, was slightly injured in an interurban wreck Friday afternoon a mile

north of Arcanum, Ohio, which is in Darke county, about twenty-five miles north-east of this city. The wreck occurred on the Cincinnati & Northern and Mr. Newlin had his left leg badly bruised. One of the crew on a

freight car, with which the passenger car Mr. Newlin was riding on collided, was killed.

Mr. Newlin had to go to Winches

ter Friday morning to testify to some

assessment sheets which were offered as evidence in the case of M. M. Lacey against Wayne county, which is now under consideration by Judge Macy of Randolph circuit court.

Mr. Newlin did not complete his

work in time to catch the afternoon

train from Winchester to Richmond. He went to Union City where he

caught a Cincinnati & Northern traction car for Dayton, intending to come from Dayton to Richmond on the D. & W. When nearing Arcanum, a freight car running in the same direction as the passenger car, and ahead of it, took to a siding to allow the passenger car to go ahead of it. The switch was left open and as a result the passenger car dashed into the switch and crashed against the rear end of the freight carr. One member of the freight car crew was standing on the rear platform and he was hurled into the car and instantly killed. Mr Newlin was thrown from his seat across the isle and suffered several painful bruises. His escape from more serious injuries was remarkable. The two other passengers on the car also escaped without injuries except bruises and scratches. :

What you want is the best results for your money. Suppose the cost of cheap paint or "lead and oil" is $1.23 per gallon and "High Standard" is $1.60. Ten gallons of the former will cover the ordinary house, while seven gallons of "H. S." will do the work. Your bill for "lead and oil" would be $12.50, and for H. S. $11.20. The "lead and oil" or cheap paint would wear three years; "H. S." five years or more. The cheap paint would cost $4.17 per year; H. S., $2.24 per year. Which is the cheaper?

LUTHERAN CONFERENCE

Many an Indiana Household Will Find Them So. To have the pains and aches of a bad back removed; to be entirely free from annoying, dangerous urinary disorders is enough to make any kidney sufferer grateful. To tell how this great change can be brought about will prove comforting words to hundreds of Indiana readers. Dallas Cassel, employed at the

Starr piano factory, and living at 711

South Sth street, Richmond, Ind. says

"I think it was about fifteen years ago

that I was cured by Doan's Kidney

Pills. At that time I was working for

the Richmond Casket Co. and in the course of a hard day's work had quite

a bit of heavy lifting which brought

on severe backache and dizzy headaches. I had tried several remedies, but with no effect. Finally I was in

duced to get a box of Doan's Kidney Pills. After I had taken them for a short time the dull aching in my back disappeared and with it the headaches. Since that time I have not

been troubled, and have recommended Doan's Kidney Pills to many other

sufferers."
