A party of fifty from this city went to Dayton Monday evening to witness the production of "Peter Tan," with Miss Maude Adams as star. A special car was chartered which returned immediately after the show. Exceptionally good time was made in going but returning, the power was turned off probably for a half hour at Westville. causing a delay. Physician Fears His Spine Has Been Injured.

who was badly injured Monday fore-

team of horses, is in a very serious condition but Dr. J. M. Thurston, the attending physician, states that he will recover. A thorough examination of Riley has not yet been made but it is thought he escaped without internal injuries. Dr. Thurston states that Riley's spine was injured by the blow he received from the wagon tongue and' that he thinks two of the ribs have been separated from the spine. Riley has weak lungs and as the result of the shock he received Monday he vomited considerable blood Monday night and his rest was very uneasy.
