SCHOOL BUILDING Faction in Clay Township Declares Structure Used 30 Years Is Still Good.

HAVE FACTS TO SHOW IT.

To Owners

of Bad Breath

Foul Odor of Indigestion, Smoking, Eating or Drinking Stopped at Once With Stuart's Charcoal Lozenges.

IN ALL THE TIME IT WAS USED ONLY TWO PERSONS DIED FROM CONSUMPTION AND IT WAS NOT CONTRACTED THERE. The fight over the school house condemned by Secretary Hurty at Greensfork, is assuming important

proportions. Secretary Hurty was in-j . t

vited by the faction which wants a new building to replace the present inadequate one. to visit it and .person

ally render an opinion for its fitness j

for school purposes. When the state official first cast his eyes upon the unlucky structure, he criticised it and when he entered it he .condemned it, not sparingly but entirely. He said that pupils who were required tc attend school there would suffer from diseases and that fifty per cent of them would die of consumption before reaching the age of twenty-five years. He also said the walls were unsafe and the building should be torn down. There Are Two Factions. There are two factions at Greensfork, one of which wants the present building repaired and enlarged and fitted with modern sanitary equipment. The other faction wants a . new and modern building, such as becomes the growing wealth and population of Greensfork and Clay township. . The faction which opposes the new building urges that Clay township is in debt and has not paid any of its indebtedness for a number of years and that to raise the tax levy where it would have to go in order to build a large school house would not be good business. The statement of Secretary Hurty was not permitted to pass unchallenged, for it was ascertained that of all the pupils who attended the Greensfork school during the thirty years the present building has been standing, only two have died of consumption and they had parents who died of the disease. .The present building cannot be used for school purposes at any time in the future as long as it remains condemned by the secretary of the state board of health. The trustee is bound to provide suitable school facilities, and it looks like he must build a new school house or else send the pupils out of the township to school. '

New Paris Expresses Choice Of Gregg's Work. CLOSING DAY OF SCHOOL.

Xew Paris, O., April 27. Friday was the last day of school here. The afternooa was donated to the art exhibit given by A. W. Gregg of Richmond, in Miss Whitaker's room. Mr. Gregg displayed seven very fine oil paintings. They were numbered and each person voted on the picture of his or her choice. The picture chosen was an original landscape scene. It represented a cottage on the Middleborough and New Pari? pike. This picture was donated to the school by Mr. Gregg. There was a large crowd of visitors present and. the afternoon was very pleasantly spent by going through the various rooms and examining the examination papers, which, were exhibited in Mr. McDivitt's room.

Trial Package To Prove It Sent Free. Bilious breathers, onion eaters, indigestion victims, cabbage consumers, smokers, drinkers and those with gas on the stomach are in a class all by themselves, distinguished by a powerful bad breath. They all breathe, and as they breathe they whiff out odor which makes those standing near, turn their heads away in disgust. The pitiable part of it is that these victims do not realize what a sickening thing a bad, offensive breath is to others. Charcoal is a wonderful absorber of gases and ordors. It absorbs 10O times 10 times its own volume of gas. Stuart's Charcoal Lozenges will put a stop to your bad, offensive breath, and to your belchings, whatever the cause or source, because the charcoal quickly absorbs all noxious unnatural odors and gases. If you suffer from indigestion and

belch gas as a result, Stuart's Charcoal Lozenges will absorb all the gas and make you stop belching. If on getting up in the morning you have such a bad bilious breath that you can almost smell it yourself, Stuart's Charcoal Lozenges will get rid of it for you quickly. Wko hd 1 tooto cs .,thg B ,t3 be: If you have been chewing or smoking, or have been eating onions or other odorous things, Stuart's Lozenges will make your breath pure and sweet. HOUSE TO HOUSE EFFORT.

REPORT MADE ON FRIDAY NIGHT WAS A GOOD ONE BARTEL AGAIN TAKES THE LEAD AMONG YOUNG MEN'S SQUADS.

SUPERINTENDENCY OFFERED EARLHAM STUDENT Prof. Bales, superintendent of the Sheridan, Ind., schools, has tendered his resignation to enter Harvard next fall. E. J. Llewelyn, who graduates from Earlham college in June, has been tendered the superintendency, but it is understood that he has not yet decided to accept. He held this position before entering college. GREAT RESULTS AND GOOD WORK CONTINUES.

Root Juice Has Proved Its Great Merit to Many.

Many people of Richmond, as elsewhere are no longer Incredulous, they are simply amazed at the results obtained from - Root Juice. When the remedy was first introduced to this community and so many were being benefitted by a few doses, it was generally thought that the medicine would only give temporary relief, but as time passes and many that were ailing are no longer complaining, but are advising their sick friends to try Root Juice, confidence in the great

medicine is becoming positive. Root

Juice makes so many remarkable cures by removing a few causes and giving nature a chance. It tones and heals the stomach, bowels, liver and kidneys: it creates a healthy appetite, and by its toning action on the bloodmaking and blood filtering organs, good, rich blood is made to nourish every weak part of the body. If 5our stomach, bowels, liver or kidneys are out of order, they will be pleased to tell you all about it at Luken's drug store. Root Juice, $1 a bottles. It has proved all that is claimed fdpr it. the house to house effort but that did not interfere with them bringing in another fine report Friday evening.! The enthusiasm of former night's was displayed just as intensely. The result of Friday evening's effort was $1,116.15. Bartel Again in Lead. In the standing of the young men's squads Bartel again takes first place from Dill and Nusbaum goes into the second division, taking fifth place from Wissler. There will be added interest in this race for the few remaining days on account of the liberality of Bartel and Dill's squads. Each of these squads gives $100 from their total to any two of the remaining eight who show the biggest per cent gain for each day. In today's report Gay wins the first $100 and Nusbaum next. The standing of the squads is as follows: Bartel $4,408.25 Dill 4,350.15 Hiser 2,591.87 Peacock 2,462.50 Nusbaum 1,976.00 Wissler ".. 1,791.85 Gay 1,707.00 Wilson 1,450.60 Hadley. 1,110.00 Ellis .. .. 780.75 Total .. $22,628.97 Bitten by a Spider. Through blood poisoning caused by a spider bite, John Washington of Bosqueville, Tex., would have lost his leg, which became a mass of running sores, had he not been pursuaded to try Bucklen's Arnica Salve. He writes: "The first application relieved and four boxes healed all the sores." Heals every sore. 25c. at A. G. Luken & Co. druggists. X Pepys Dairy, lT5-lG0r, commenting on Shakespeare's plays, says of "Midsummer Night's Dream:" "It is the most insipid, ridiculous play I ever saw in my life," and upon reading "Othello, Moor of Venice." which I had hitherto esteemed a mighty good play, but having lately read the "Adventure of Five Hours," it seems a mean thing." Mr. S. L. Bowen, of Wayne, W. Va., writes: "I was sufferer from kidney disease, so that at times I could not get out of bed, and when I did I could not stand straight. I took Foley's Kidney Cure. One dollar bottle and part of the second cured me entirely." Foley's Kidney Cure works wonders where others are total failures. A. G. Luken & Co. August Wilhelmje, the famous violinist of London, discovered a little boy by the name of Leopold Lustig playing the violin on the streets of the metropolis. He took him home and gave him some Instruction and the boy will shortly appear on the London concert platform.
