NOTICE OF
OF REAL ES-
Haeerstown, Ind., April 17. Not
withstanding all reports to the contrary, Hagerstown lodge Knights of Pythias, will build a beautiful and commodious temple this Eeason. Work will begin on the walls just as soon as the contractor can move his men and equipment to the place and that will be within a week or ten days. All material down to the minutia of the finish has been contracted for and is
on the way at this time. There has been at no time, any doubt existing among the membership about building this year. The sentiment Is unanimous and there exists no reason for the recent report that building operations bad been declared postponed indefinitely. The publication of that false report worked much injustice to the building committee as well as to the lodge itself. There have been all but insurmountable difficulties to overcome. The first was the failure of the Commercial bank, which caused a great loss to the '
lodge. The next was the fright of the i
men, occasioned alone by the bank failure, who had arranged to furnish the funds over and above what the lodge had on hands and which was necessary to complete the building. No difficulty was experienced in placing the loan, the delay occasioned
thfeby being the only inconvenience.
The building committee is composed

Man's Food From Earliest Ages Found in Egyptian Crypts and Ruins of Ancient Lake Dwellers. All hail to wheat, the King of Cereals. From -earliest ages wheat has been recognized as man's natural food. It has been discovered in the remains
of Egyptian civilization and found in
the ruins of the ancient Lake Dwellers
It has been prepared in many forms
as food, the most wholesome and nu
tritious being Malta-Vita (predigested
whole wheat).
This most perfect of all foods (Mal
ta-Vita) , is choicest whole wheat,
thoroughly washed, cleaned and steam
cooked, then mixed with barley malt
extract to change the starch of the wheat into rich, nourishing maltose,
just as saliva does when we thorough
ly chew our food and make it ready for absorption by the blood. It contains just the right percentage of protein or muscle making food to insure bodily strength. It is rich in the carbo-hydrates required for the full physical energy so essential to good health. It is acceptable to the most delicate stomach and gives Invigorating nourishment to every part "of the
body without taxing the weakest digestion. Malta-Vita Is good for children, for invalids, for convalescents, for the aged, and is the most strength-giving and sustaining of all foods for athletes and brain workers, tt gives healthful, vigorous support to people In all walks and conditions of life. Robert Utterbach, manager of the Athletic Association. Drake University. Des Moines, Iowa, said: "In nutrition and consistency we have found Malta-Vita to be the best food for our use." Those who wish to be strong and en
joy constant vigorous health should
eat Malta-Vita (predigested wheat)
and less of meats and heavy foods. It

EUREKA! Ves, I Have Found It at Last. Found what? Why that Chamberlain's Salve cures eczema and all manner of itching of the skin. I have been afflicted for many years with skin dicease. I had to get up three or four times every night and wash with cold water to allay the terrible itching, but since using this salve in December, 1903, the itching has stopped and has not troubled me. various sections are found to be practically unhurt, while in others some varfeties are killed, while other varieties are in good condition. Strawberries and other small fruits are believed to be in better condition than was supposed. While fruit has been damaged to a great extent, it has also been shown that many varieties of insects which work on buds and all fruits in the early stages, have been depleted, and their inroads this year will be less than usually occurs.
Wheat and oats have not been effected to any extent here and both crops give promise of a big harvest. All work on preparing for corn planting has been delayed for more than three weeks, so that it will likely be later than usual before corn is
planted this spring.

The contract for the cement and concrete work has been let to A. ti. Feemster and G. Garret, two local contractors. The cement work will include the foundation work which will be constructed of concrete and brick. The new building will be modern and up-to-date in every detail, being equipped with modern machinery and all facilities for manufacturing their special line of goods. The company's present quarters have become inadequate owing to the increased business in the past year and the glowing demand for their output. They employ about 25 or SO workmen at present and it is believed that this force will be doubled when the
4iew plant is put into operation.
J. w. Judkins, who has been idvtified with the concern for the past four years as president and general manager, stated yesterday that the firm expected to have the new factory in operation by July 1.
EVERY FAVOR HAD BEEN SHOWN HIM BY HIS EMPLOYER AND HE REPAID IT BY STEALING FROM THE CASH REGISTER. George Lipscombe, against whom the grand jury returned an Indictment charging him with petit larceny, was arraigned In the circuit court and on tne recommendation of Pauper Attor
ney P. J. Freeman, entered a plea of
guilty. By throwing himself on the mercy of the court, Upscombe hoped to escape with a fine and a jail sentence, but Judge Fox sentenced the young man to a term of from one to
three jears in the reformatory at Jef-
Prosecutor Jessup, in making his
statement to the court, argued that the man should be given a sentence to the reformatory. He stated that the man had been employed by Guy Gotschall, proprietor of the City restaurant, and that Lipscombe had been left in charge
of the place one night after midnight
with the result that he had. stolen $10
out of the cash register and then left
the city. The prosecutor stated that the amount stolen was small, but that the case was aggravated because the man took advantage of the confidence reposed in him. Showed Rank Ingratitude. Mr. Jessup stated that when Mr. Gotschall employed Upscombe the young man was in Indianapolis without work and that Mr. Gotschall had to get Lipscombe'8 clothes out of "hock" and pay his expenses to this city. After stealing the money, the man, the prosecutor stated, went to Hamilton, O., where he spent the stolen money carousing with a woman. Later he went to Columbus, O., where he was arrested. Attorney Freeman said that the statement of facts made by the prpsecutor, were in the main correct. He added that Lipscombe was under no obligations to Mr. Gotschall for the kindnesses shown him and that the
money taken from the cash register amounted to $0.65 and that Mr. Gotschall owed Lipscombe $3.75 of this amount. He stated that the young
fellow was driven to this crime because his father, who lives in San Francisco, had written to him stating
that he must have money at once or hej
would be ejected from his home. 1 Mr.
Freeman also stated that Lipscombe
was assisting in the support of two
minor sisters and that he had lost an
other sister in the San Francisco earth-

We Are Well Aware That our forefathers who went through the hardships of clearing this land and building it up to Its present state could not have dene it on the bread that lots of bakers bake today. ... The pioneers 'of this country had bread that was oft times a month old and as hard as the wood they had to chop, yet we can tell you that there was more nutriment, more bone and sinew, more building power in one pound of that than there is In ten pounds of the light flaky cottony stuff that lots of bakers are turning out today. Not so with Mothers and Victor They Arc Made by Up-to-date Processes And have the nutriment In them necessary to the upbuilding of human life. , Ask your grocer for these varieties.
