Misses Irene Wenger, Irma Curry and Hazel Fudge of this place, and Miss Ellen Bricker, from Cincinnati, called on Misses Jennio Duffield and Inez Sowers Sunday afternoon. Mrs. D. C. Price and Miss Eva Barney called at Mr. James Richards' Sunday afternoon. The school at this place will close next Friday, April 19.

tigation it was found that John Hinshaw's 14 year old son Avas the cause of the scare. The boy was teasing the dog and was severely bitten for his trouble. However, the lad was sent to New Castle to have the famous Bundy niad stone applied to the wound, and the, stone clung to it 4S hours. great lover of the Orphan's home during his life time left a will, which among other items, provided that an annual dinner should be piven each and every year hereafter from the proceeds of the funds that he had left to
jthe home. Therefore, as the testator
died only two years since, this was the first dinner given. Among those invited to partake of the festivities were the officials of the home, the board of trustees, the officials of the county and their wives, the members of the jury who decided that the will of James Bruce should stand, and the physicians and attorneys who took part in the cases that were tried at tnat time.
