CLOVER. SEED . ADVANCES. (April S.) Clover seed, both Bis English and Little Red, is scarce, owing t6 the fact that the majority of the farmers have
j completed their sowing and there is but little good seed on the market, i Quotations on both rose fifty cents per
bushel on the wholesale price today. The wagon market has been particularly quiet for the past week and as the receipts are small, 'prices are remaining uniform.

year ago last January was severely in-1
jured while walking up the steps of the station platform at Mooreland, Henry county. They claim this accident resulted from the fact that there were no lights on the station platform, Mrs. Harvey sustained a broken knee cap and other injuries.
Attorneys for the defense argued that the company was no more liable for not displaying lights than a mer-1 chant who invited patrons Into his 1 store and one of them was injured ' by tripping over a bad place in the j sidewalk. Attorney Forkner, who is j quite bald, stated to the jury that he j
"was not talking through his hat." J Attorney Robbins remarked in a droll (
manner, "neither are you talking through your hair." This sally caused a general laugh, which. Mr. Forkner joined in heartily. Arguments in the case were heard this afternoon and it is probable the case will go to the jury at a .late hour.

TRUSTEES HOLD SESSION
The board of trustees of Easthaven
met this afternoon at that institution west of the city, and transacted routine business. The new buildings were discussed although no new step was taken toward their realization. It" is not expected that they will be begun before fall. At the present time there are one hundred applications for admission - to the hospital, but owing to crowded conditions it will be impossible to admit even a
small portion of these.
