An Unexcelled Refrigerator

WfHY is the North W Star Refrigerator more economical in the use of ice than any other refrigerator on the market? BECAUSE it is the only refrigerator with Granulated Cork, which according to all scientific tests transmits a less number of units of heat than any other.

BECAUSE these tests have been verified from time to time, by actual practical tests with other refrigerators and in all instances the NORTH STAR proved more economical in ice consumption. BECAUSE the perfect system of circulation perfected by 25 years of practical experience insures superior refrigeration throughout the provision chamber. If you want something worth the money buy a NORTH STAR. For sale at HASSENBUSCH'S Main Street

FARM HAHDSWELL PAIO Reliable Help Much Sought i Agricultural Districts.

"No longer are the wages of a farm hand to be scoffed at" said a prominent Wayne county farmer while standing on Main street. "The farm worker is getting more money this year than many men about town who laugh at the idea of going to the country for work. Twenty-four dollars a month and, "find," which includes washing, board, bed and driving horse and all the other good things which go with farm life, is the average price paid by Wayne county farmers for good and reliable farm hands. This is a gain from four to ten dollars over, wages given to such hands five years ago.

"Uncle Sam pushed up the price of these boxes on us, but I don't see that he is delivering any more mail in them than he used to under the smaller rate," said one of the box subscribers at the postolhce Saturday. A number of people in the city seem to have the impression that the increase in box rentals which became effective the firstof April is due to the increased salaries for carriers and clerks which will apply after July 1. Such is not the case. The increase in the rental in the Richmond office is simply due to a readjustment to get all cities of the same class on an equal basis when it comes to box rentals. Two things govern rentals now, size of box and classification of city. All cities having boxes of the same dimensions as the ones "in the Richmond office, and being in the same population class with this city will have from this time forward the same box rental $S annually for the large boxes, $4 for the medium sized boxes and $3 for the small boxes. The readjustment of box rentals was contemplated nearly a year ago, long before anything in the way of increases for postal employes was debated. The box prices in different cities were formerly established without any regard to uniformity. Each office's price was made a special case. Hereafter there will not be any such discrepancy in prices."
