DR. WILLIAMS' PINK PILLS ARE SAFE AND RELIABLE. An Auburn Woman Tells how they Became her Favorite Household Remedy for all Common Troubles. Motherhood may be the crowning blessing of a woman's life or it may bring grief and sorrow. Mrs. M. J. Wight, of 170 Seventh Street, Auburn, Maine, relates her experience after tbe
birth of her daughter in 1901, as follows: "I was all run down at the time the baby came and did not improve in health rapidly after. I was pale, thin and bloodless. My stomach distressed me being full of gas all the time and my heart fluttered so that I could scarcely breathe. I didn't get my strength back. "Finally I remembered that a friend had recommended Dr. Williams Pink Pill3 to me so I commenced using them. I gained in strength rapidly while the baby throve also. When I expected my next child I started taking the pills again as a tonic and strengthener and had no such difficulty as before. I got up better and nay strength came back much sooner. "A year ago last winter I had an attack of rheumatism in the hands which went from one hand to the other. The joints swelled up and were so stiff I j could not move them. The pain ex- j tended up through my arms and

May Not Use Athletic Park. It is not definitely settled a3 to what disposition the Richmond Amusement company will make of the Athletic park. It may not be used at all. The company desires to build a permanent grand stand and does not feel justified in doing this at the Athletic park unless a lease for three or five years can be secured. Henry Roberts the owner is now on a Western trip and cannot be located. He has no local representative with power to extend the one year lease, the Amusement company now holds, so for the time being, the matter of a ball park site is pending. The company can secure a long time lea&e on the Gilbert field on Main street but there are some things in favor of the Athletic park and an effort will be

Cured of Rheumatism. Mr. Wm. Henry of Chattanooga, Tenn., had rheumatism in his left arm. "The strength seemed to have gone out of the muscles so that it was
useless for work," he says. "I applied Chamberlain's Pain Balm and wrapped the arm in flannel at night, and to my relief I found that the pain gradually left me and the strength returned. In

A BOLD STEP. To overcome the well-grounded and reasonable objections of the more intelligent to the use cf secret, medicinal compounds, Dr. R. V. Pierce, of Buffalo, N. Y., some time ago, decided to make a bold departure from the usual course pursued by the makers of put-up medicines for domestic use, and so has published broadcast and openly to the whole world, a full and complete list of all the ,ingredients entering into the composition of his widely celebrated medicines. Thus he has taken his numerous patrons and patients into his full confidence. . Thus" too he has absolutely and completely removed his medicines from among secret nostrums of doubtful merits, and made them Remedies cf Known Composition. They are now in a class all by themselves being absolutely and in every sense Non-secret. By this bold step Dr. Pierce has shown that his formulas are of such excellence that he is not afraid to subject them to the fullest scrutiny.
The exact proportion of tbe several ingredients used in these medicines, as
So many fal?e formulas and malicious statements concerning his medicines had been published through the connivance of jealous competitors and disgruntled doctors, that Dr. Pierce determined to completely disarm his assailants by a full and frank etatemeni of their exact composition, verifying the
same under oath as complete ana correct. This he has done and to the compieN? discomfiture of those who had assailed hw good name as well as the
well-earned reputation ot his woria famed medicines.

all the different schools of practice, containing very numerous extracts from the writings of leading practitioners of medicine, endorsing tn the strongest possible terms, each and every ingredient contained in Dr. Pierce's medicines. One of these little books will be mailed free to any one sending address on postal card or'bv letter, to Dr. R. V. Pierce, Buffalo, N.'Y., and requesting the same. From this booklet it will be learned that Dr. Pierce'B medicines contain no alcohol, narcotics, mineral agents or other poisonous or injurious agents and that they are made from native, medicinal roots of great value; a bo that some of the most valuable ingredients contained in Dr. Pierce's Favorite Prescription for weak, nervous, over-worked, "run-down," nervous and debilitated women, were employed, long years ago by the Indians for similar ailments affecting their equaws. In
fact, one of the most valuable medicinal plants entering into the composition of Dr. Pierce's Favorite. Prescrip

As 'made up by improved and exact processes, and with the use of specially designed chemical apparatus, the "Favorite Prescription" ia a most efficient remedy for regulating all the womanly functions, correcting displacements, as prolapsus, ante version and retroversion, overcoming painful periods, toning up he nerves and bringing about a perfect
